To everybody who says samsung is faster just shut up and wait for that update heck even the iphone 6s beated galaxy s8 let alone this iphone but it isn't optimized thought the chip for ios 11. Iphone 7 plus for example is the current fastest device as apple had time to optimize that chip. Now you talking about samsung and oneplus. Apple beat tham all and you couldn't say anything. The animations are Apple's problem but raw power is in another category the iphone 7 is best of smartphone chips while a11 is intel core territory.

Never had iPhone, so i will buy it anyway.

To be honest, i have watched multiple speed tests of iPhone 8 and 8+, it is been so obvious that they are not in their full potential, there software optimization is unstable.

Akinaro, 28 Sep 2017I wonder when people realize that amount of memory and cpu ... moreI wonder when people realize that this is absolutely NOT the case. Did you watch iPhone 7 vs 7 Plus speed test. iPhone 7 Plus has more than 2 times the pixels, while they both have the same chipset. And the speed test shows no difference at all. AND I am sure that extra GB of RAM did not make the iPhone 7 Plus faster. If you know what the RAM actually makes, you will agree. The animation of opening an app is not that hard to be managed by a GPU which has the power to play high end video games on best settings...

User experience is much better than any stupid test whic shows nothing only make big confusion in people minds.
In real usage where a lot of apps running on backround a phone with good ram could always prevail. In this case Samsung,
If they put to the test Oneplus with 8GB ram Iphone will be like elderly turtle on permanent vacation LOL. Lets try the speedtest again and run like 50 apps simmultaneously what happens then :-)

AnonD-39937, 28 Sep 2017DAMN, this is the first time in the history of speed tests ... moreIt's really great, iPhone 8 is just missing some optimization. So yeah, it's the software like it was in the beginning with Galaxy S8 just force closing every app. In EverythingApplePro speed test, iPhone 7 on iOS 11 was even faster then iPhone 8 on iOS 11.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2017why do people care about 0.2 seconds ? it's not like it has... moreThe differences is bigger if you keep continuing this test in many laps. By lap 100th+ you can get minutes of differences and not only a few seconds. Keep it going more you may get an hour or more of differences. Seriously, how many times do you check your phone in a day? How many times do you open the same app in a day?The video only showed opening the same app only two times and that resulted in a few seconds of differences. See what they did there.
