Anonymous, 30 Sep 2017Yeah, because a massive phone is very useful to your pocket... moreMi Mix isn't even that big after all, one really shouldn't have any problems pocketing that one. 7"-tablets and bigger I do understand that they are simply too big to physically fit in a normal pocket, but not a Mi Mix. Or then people really buy their clothes without checking the pocket-sizes too, that's one thing I always check for practicality.

The only reason that I've bought MiMix (the phone that started the current craze) was *practical* reasons. Get it in your head.
To this day MiMix is the only pocketable ~6.5 inch phone .... Maybe bezeless does play a *functional* role after all...

You can get a better battery by making the phone slightly thicker. No need to make it uncofmortably tall...
Also the rest of those you described only need minimal bezels...
It's merely an excuse for their shortcomings... Pixel 2 won't sell, like Pixel 1 didn't ... Google has either to become modern looking or face extinction...

looks like the Pixel2xl is wider, but the pixel2 is taller because of the big bezels.

Until now, on android side, we had same OS, and same cpu, and same amount of RAM for the flagship
Now we start to have the same design as well...lg g6, v30, pixel 2 xl, s8, note 8, huawei...
So now, i pick just the brand name, thats all...

If you want small bezels to show off to your friends for aesthetic reasons get the XL. If you want something useful for functionality get the normal one, and you get HTC's Edge Sense features.

So this means no Pixels for me, as long as this idiotic huge bezels -design keeps happening. It's not 2014 anymore, Google. Even the ancient Nexus 6 had smaller bezels.

If it gonna cost 649 and have those besels, it is gonna be very bad, since technically it almost a copy of mi6 for about 350. Hell, i would better buy honor 9 for even smaller price if i wanted compact flagship phone.

Pixel 2 with the same exact things except a more energy efficient 1080p AMOLED display SHOULD do way better.

2700mAh for the regular Pixel 2? Definitely gonna have mediocre battery life, possibly even worse than an iPhone. They should have made it at least 3000mAh or higher.
