Checking the Galaxy S8 and S8+ market share after six months

In most places the S8 sells better than the S8+, the older S7 duo has a strong presence.

If it is a selling point in actual reality, and not just hyped web blogs and revs..., why is, most probably most selling bezeless 18:9 S8 duo selling almost twice as less than bezeled 16:9 S7 duo?

Even, Sony, the brand ambassadors of big bezels, announced that they are going to follow this bezel less trend in their next years' flagships. S7 has got an extra run as Samsung's top dog in 2016 due to Note 7's demise, that along with the fact that S8 is an S7 with better design made people stick with their S7's a little longer.

This story is only, fabricated drivel. Its sole purpose is to make Samsung seem belittled. Go search real figures and see why they left tims lil phone out, no one want an "i" phone now.

I've had my S4 for 4 years this month. I love it as much as I did from day one. One of things I love and use a LOT is the Sbeam share. And I don't think the newer phones have that, which is sad. I love sharing pictures this way and people are like, "what! What are you doing?" And when we tell them, they're impressed. I've put a lot of "miles" on this phone and it hasn't let me down. It's been kept in an Otterbox case since the day I got it, so it's in pristine condition. And when I bought it, it was when we had to have a contract with the phone company and it was super affordable. Now, I can't afford the company (we're with Total Wireless now), nor can I afford to pay $800 for new phone, so sadly, when it's time for me to get a new phone, I'm going to have to step away from the Samsung Galaxy anythings, cus I don't have that kind of money. Makes me sad just thinking about it.

Usually it's getting more popular once it gets cheaper, talking about S series flagships. S6 edge and S7 edge was game changer in design, everybody was looking to get one. S8 has beautiful screen combined with same s7 edge design, so eventually will get more popular once it gets cheaper, price wise it is really expensive and no need to forget factor, that it gets more and more expensive every year, so people don't see a point to pay so much money just for phone

well, each year's "flagships" are priced higher and higher but are not much of an improvement when compared to older phones tbh. my current phone is 2 years old mid-ranger and new phones simply dont offer anything more. it works perfectly fine, opens apps fast and does its job just as good as new 1000USD phone

remember guys, the s7 and s7 edge had 6 extra months of Samsung flagship status that no other previous galaxy s had since galaxy s2, which is thanks to the death of note 7. Samsung were forced to promote and advertise the s7 which generated more sales obviously.

S8 isn't drastically different from the S7 apart from the design and some minor changes here and there. This may be the reason for S8's low market share compared to S7.

well the reason is simple . the size of S8 are too big. S8 should not be more than 5.5in. and S8+ is a joke too big. For 6inch they already hav note series. People want a 5inch ine handed smartphone

There is a good reason. Samsung has bad marketing and diluted product line with poor brand value, where customers can get easily confused and look away.
If they copied Apple strategy success should be better. Just sell the old top tier devices at a discount instead of confusing midrange underperformers. Make one cheap good device that rolls over in the same way and finish with 4 phones overall.
