Standard mate 10 for me. Wish it was waterproof, but can live without it. Cant live without sd slot, and not a fan of 18:9 screens.

As posted on another article comments section on this site...Mate 10 all the way for me despite omissions of some few specs like amoled QHD screen, rear fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, iP68 rating, more RAM n storage options.
This is the perfect way to make a full view 16:9AR screen which makes for a shorter device. I hope Huawei makes both models available here in the US...ASAP

6gb version of mate 10 does exist and is available for China market. So maybe in future it might pop up in other markets as well.

Mate10 is 4mm shorter than OPO 5. The front FP is fine.

No stereo speakers, so it is a downgrade from the mate 9 im using now. For that reason I wont buy a mate 10. I will never downgrade from my previous phone when buying a new one. Maybe next year huawei.

The Mate 10 line is a disappointment for me. No AMOLED on vanilla and no 3.5mm on Pro is a farce.

Any chance the Honor Note 9 is coming? If not, I'm spending my hard earned cash on the V30.

I waited months for this Huawei, now go sit in the naughty corner!

Simply you pay for design. And lose sharp screen, front fingerprint and awesome jack (because using bt means no 3Hz sound you can get with the wire). I see it like they just killed reason for 18:9, good job.

Vanilla with an amoled screen and I would buy it.

While it may be a good strategy to try to segment their products, many times this results in devices that always have a shortcoming so that another one can have a characteristic difference.

This does not work for some people like me, and this is probably one of the reasons Samsung is so successful with their Galaxy line. Usually, they do not hold anything in those devices; they are showcases of the best technology they have to offer.

After having a Galaxy S3 for a few years, and then using an LG G4, I have decided that my next phone will have an AMOLED screen. Yay for Mate 10 Pro! But I refuse to buy phones without micro-SD slots. Yay for Mate 10! And I want a front button. Yay for Mate 10! And I want water resistance. Yay for Mate 10 Pro.

So, my next phone will be the Galaxy S8 Active.

My heart is broken. I waited for for months and saved money for the mate 10. Now i bought a galaxy note 8. Because clearly galaxy note 8 is the best phone. But i was hugely affevteed how they positioned the mate 10. I was really affected

You forgot that only the non-Pro RGBW IPS screen goes to 730 nits max brightness for improved sunlight legibility. The Pro amoled dows not do this.

The pro version is just stupid. The only thing it has clearly better is 6GB RAM and 128GB flash.

Personally I prefer fingerprint reader on the front, so I dont even have to lift the phone to use it, for instance when it is on the table and I want to just make a couple of quick things.

Also , if the AMOLED was Samsung's best, it could be considered superior, but now it is just lower resolution and dimmer.

The Pro version without 3.5mm jack and sdcard slot is just a fail. It is more like Mate 10 Lite.

The Mate 10 is a great device & easily better than the other Pro & Porsche Design versions (More screen area, QHD vs FHD+,16:9 ratio and front fingerprint scanner and still a better Screen to body ratio than the others, 3.5 mm headphone jack and SD card slot and still much less expensive).

The only things better in the Pro & Porsche Design are more RAM/storage, IP67 protection and the AMOLED screen.

The other goodies such as the impressive front and back camera, the 4000 mAh, the promising Kirin 970 and the Infrared Blaster remain the same for the trio. The lack of Stereo speakers is a minor niggle though.....

But despite the Android 8.0 Oreo, the UI icons are still as pre-historic and dated as ever......
