I really liked my Lumia, the phone was very durable and the UI was very tasteful designed imo. Kind of tragic many disregarded it for that, I mean why have ugly icons on your mobile phone they should be a relic of the past at this point.

Pe... moreI stayed with Win mobile for three years and last year switched to Android because of lack of support from Microsoft. I have a Win 10 desktop; but I will never ever get a phone or a tablet running anything Microsoft. I think a great many people feel the same way.

Too many Android fanboys talking about WP without having it tried.... clear example of stupidity of human beings.
WP is not dead because it was a bad OS. It is bad because MS is a dumb company with a CEO that shut the mobile business down as personal revenge. WP was a very good OS. Much better than Android in terms of user experience, especially for work purposes. I find Android sluggish, incomplete, though the deep app integration wokrs well, this is something I could and live without. Being third in the market was not a bad thing, MS could have improved. They did not have such a huge user base than Android but they had a user base and loyal customers globally. MS decided to cheat on them. so I say, MS deserves to fall. Nutella should be hit in the face for what he has done.
Google is the new MS (of the 90s). Egoist, anti competency, totalarian. The kind of company people should be fighting against and not support...

Microsoft is the worst disappointment in recent history. People will stop investing in Microsoft products. I'v been let down by Windows Phones, by One Drive, by Here Maps and by One Note. Most of my phones became useless. I lost the 30GB on One Drive for god knows what reasons. I can't open One Note and the Microsoft support is useless.
Microsoft will not last long.

Lumia 640 xl definitely deserves the upgrade, earlier list confirmed that Lumia 640/640xl will receive the falls creators update. What happened to MS? If the device is compatible, whats' the concern to deliver the update? MS shall support the users until it shuts down the mobile business.

Since the released of windows 10 mobile, I already find the user experiences compromised. Shoved the Lumia 640XL deep inside my drawer since then..... Now very happy with my latest Xiaomi A1.

Windows 10 was a monumental disaster even the PC version.
Instead of delaying W10 they released this toxic os onto phones and two years of updates still hasn't fixed it
When a software that was envisaged to work on ALL Windows 8 half of the model then show serious problems you don't release it anyway on modell that shoe the least problems
Your right W10 major problems is overheating and constant restarts
MICROSOFT instead of keeping Windows 8 and trying to fix Windows 10 has quit altogether
so now only 2 O/Ses iOs and Android
WINDOWS 8 could have been developed to be say Windows 12, Windows 10 effectively abandoned
Samsung pulled the Note 7 due to exploding battery, it show that because Microsoft have stopped selling phones W10 should have been delayed permanently, if the update fails don't release it

Because i have 640 and using it in the latest Windows Phone 10 build for 1 half yrs now and working fluid from day one. And by the way edge browser is the best most fluid and fast browser that I have ever used!

I will go back to Windows 8.1 because it was the only stable usable version on my Lumia 640! Windows 10 is extremely unstable and laggy on Lumia 640, and the Edge browser is the worst browser ever!
