Carol, 27 Oct 2017Yeah, well, actually nope;). When you work in a company you... moreJust like the case With Windows phone 7, 8, windows mobile 10.
They captured the Android market and the iPhone drastically, having the global monopoly on smartphone
Or it was not like that ...
Nevermind ...
I honestly do not think they will be successful, at least not now.
Loyal users are disappointed with Microsoft's current policy and android/ios users are not interested

Iam still using my first slab phone, after my first candy phone. I rarely change phones unless current phone cannot do it at all. I was wishing for e-Assistant....an electronic dairy alias phone alias internet consumer device(paying bills, seeing videos, songs, radio, etc) most importantly sturdy build and pocketable. 8/5mp cameras ok for me.

If it won't run old Win32 games like Postal 2 and Soldier of Fortune 2 then it will be useless.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2017There is now a trend of consumers disgust of Microsoft products.Yeah, well, actually nope;). When you work in a company you do not see any disgust for Microsoft or any other Software company. The mass never matter fir this giants they always look for enterprise. When enterprise uses them, slowly but surely the mass will start to do that to;).

Hotkolbas, 26 Oct 2017I think MS should just stick with software development. His... moreI agree.
Even in the software world, they keep on backing out on some initiatives because of technical limitations or hindsight (i.e. "One OS for ALL platforms")
However, I would like to be positive and hope that they push through with Mobile or Pocketable Devices running on FULL Windows OS.

Good idea but knowing MS it will be pricey as hell.
MS should just focus to bring full windows experience to smartphone.
or better, make a portable Xbox to compete with Nintendo Switch..

Seems to be an idea getting new life.
ZTE, Samsung are doing it.
Because of Westworld?
If it folds up and fits in a pocket, let it make phone calls. Let it be your one device.

This sounds like an excellent idea for students. If it didn't cost much I would diffidently consider. I can make my notes. Save it as a file, per year, per class. Nice to have a calendar and some multitasking while making notes. I know most of which are already on a phone but it would be nice to have a separate device for this. I know none of this sounds cheap either.

- Andromeda is an OS

GSMArena, I think you don't really know what the issue really is.
The issue is not that specific foldable tablet.
This is not just Windows-on-ARM as before, but making Windows modular and compatible to different hardware: the name of this project is Andromeda OS.

I think MS should just stick with software development. History tells me that they will give up on this project and scew many a supports juat like every other mobile tech they developed
