The reason why many people do not see burn-ins in their Samsung amoled screen within weeks/months, is because if you jack up the brightness too much, the battery of the phone drains like crazy. That, or they just don't notice the burn-in.

Sony Fanboy Bitches, 27 Oct 2017Hasn't been released, and I surely doubt that lol. Samsung... moreAll DEMO smartphones get some type of burn in.
I just bought a Sony X Performance for my wife. It was a used demo from BHphotovideo and it had major screen burn in. They let me keep it for free :) I'm happy about that, but yeah it happens to demo phones.
The only burn in I got was on my Galaxy S1 from 2010 (I still have it functional today) in the notification bar on top, only that. It doesn't matter much since the S1 has the notification bar always visible unlike new phones.

I've used many Samsung phones and I take care of them, no burn in after the S1.

WoW... a "non issue"...... just wow....

Sony Fanboy Bitches, 27 Oct 2017Hasn't been released, and I surely doubt that lol. Samsung... moreYour word is worth nothing, unfortunately for you. You may want to one by one drop by the millions of 2 to 3 year old samsung flagships that remained pristine so you can start becoming the least bit significant. Otherwise, you're just another nobody that nobody will care about. Good day bruh.

          - "Hey, my phone keeps losing signal, why is that?"
          - "Oh, that? No, you're simply holding the phone wrong."

Remember that? This is the same thing.

But it doesn't matter because Google will sell the Pixels in the millions instead of people turning to something else.

Except Google are not even in the same league as Apple when it comes to smartphones, wouldn't even compare them to likes of Lg and Huawei .

As a pixel XL owner and former Nexus products owner I cannot justify the price tag of the handset, hence why I purchased it 4 months later for £400 as opposed to the unfortunate people that paid £840.

Google doesn't know how to build quality hardware and always comes up with excuses for problems.

First gen Pixel had Bluetooth issues, audio issues, camera issues such as clicking, lack of auto focus, halo effect. They never admitted to any apart from saying we will try to fix with a software update. Their so called best phone camera is rubbish, paid dxo millions imagine, quality doesn't compare to again Samsung or Apple. So stick to Samsung or Apple.
Coming from a pixel XL user.

Note 8, 27 Oct 2017I have been telling this! Burn in is the nature of OLED if ... moreUsing the phone like in retail showroom with 100% brightness with same screen image for hours is not abnormal. Most people use their phones only for facebook, chat apps, internet browsing, etc. These apps have navigation bars, UI elements that are displayed for hours and burns in in AMOLED screens. The games also have HUD elements which displayed for hours. Wathcing 4:3 and 16:9 movies on 18:9 screen will show two black bars at the sides of the screen, this means for AMOLED that those pixels are turned off, they remain unused, and the rest of the pixels at the 4:3 and 16:9 screen area will be worn out, in other words burn-in. The Always On display and on-screen navigation buttons will also burn in, the pixel shifting just delays the visibility of burn-in, it is not a solution, because the buttons remain at the same area and those pixels are still much more used.

It must be the OREO thing that affects the OLED screens.
