630, 636, and 660 have the same pin and software compatibility

I'd be interested in a KEYtwo. I don't have many complaints about the KEYone; it's a brilliant device. Two improvements might be:
1. 4 instead of 3 GB RAM. This is pretty much guaranteed since even the KEYone Black Edition has 4 GB.
2. Change the Android navigation buttons to be part of the screen, like they are on the Priv.
A couple features I lost when upgrading to the KEYone from the Priv:
1. Unable to swipe down anywhere on the keyboard to bring up symbols (I'm not sure why this was removed).
2. The three swipe shortcuts when swiping up on the home button (I believe this is related to #2 above).

Put high end SD chipset, 4/6gb Ram, 64/128 rom then sell it equal to Huawei Mate 10 or Nokia 8. See how the market respond.

AnonD-711359, 28 Oct 2017Agreed. I hope the screen will be 5.4" then keypad would no... moreI think Blackberry could make a fortune by manufacturing a phone with a horizontally aligned slide-out keyboard (like that of Nokai E7 or Motorola Droid 4).

I would like similar design minus that ugly capacitive buttons. Its a waste of space which could be used for larger screen.

I have been using BB phones for many years (16). Three months ago I replaced my Classic with a cheap ($220-ebay) PRIV BB. Now I don't use at all the physical keyboard.
I will wait for a while for a high-end new BB without physical keyboard, otherwise I will get a phone with the new Snapdragon 845 Soc.

AnonD-711351, 28 Oct 2017But is the Snapdragon 660 as power efficient as the Snapdra... moreIt's more efficient.
At low voltage it should be roughly equal to the QSD 625/630/636.
But on higher voltage, it will provide a lot more performance with those Cortex A73 cores.
So you get the option of efficiency AND performance.
The QSD 625 (and the QSD 630) was a good chip, but it was still in the league of the old QSD 800/801/805 SoCs. Hence, its a low-end chip (mid-range at best)... but we've been stuck with them due to a lack of competition in the SoC market for a while. However, the QSD 636 is the first chip that's better than those 2013-2014 processors, and even better than the rushed QSD 650/652/653 chipsets. The QSD 660 is a higher clocked QSD 636, and is almost equal to the QSD 820 and QSD 821. So the QSD 636 might sound impressive, but its not, we should've had it shipped in midrange phones earlier in 2017 if the market progressed the way it supposed to.... but instead we hit a slump with 2015 and 2016, and have only been catching up in 2017. Hell, just look at Apple's Axx chips of the last 3 years.
I would've expected Blackberry to use the QSD 636 chip in 2015, but it wasn't available.
Instead they're using it 2018... which goes to show how backwards this new Chinese-TCL-Blackberry is. They're yet to release a high-end handset since going Android, but insist on charging high-end prices to consumers because: "nostalgia". Does this remind anyone of Chinese-HMD-Nokia? Maybe they're trying to imitate a different type of fruit : )

The battery of this Blackberry with that proccessor will last much more than the other smartphone. With the proccessor snapdragon 80x the app page can open 1 or 2 second faster than the snapdragon 625.That's the difference. But for 1 or 2 seconds ,i'm not interesed to pay a 150 $ more. The snapdragon 835 of the flagship phones that you like, consume much more battery than snapdragon 625.I'm not interesed of the latest proccessor,i'm interesed of the battery life to last longer.

AnonD-697960, 29 Oct 2017Hello My opinion is as a fan,and as a user Blackberry.It'... moreYou can call yourself whatever fan you like, but if 625 is not midranger for You, you literally does not have a clue about the phones. 660 is strong chipset, can beat some high end ones from past years, but nevertheless is created for premium midrange class and NOT a flagship chipset as 835, so you still paying for flagship price it getting Midrange specs. So why I should choose this one instead proper flagship like s8, note 8 or V30 for example?????

A great will be:
1. changing the keyboard to that/same as the Q10. Remove the capacitive keys to accomodate the bigger keys.
2. make this capacitive keys on screen and accessible with an upward swipe.
3. make the speaker stereo.
4. interchange the convenience key and power button.
5. more optimization of software to the phone to prevent/minimize lag.
All these enhancements will make this second iteration sell like hotcake.
