Rafe Firmani, 02 Nov 2017All you people with the 3.5mm jack really need to get over ... moreRafe....

    The issue is this..

I have a phone that has the jack. I can use any earphone no matter brand. Sony, Samsung, Philips etc.
Wired or not. A simple one that costs $12 or a better one $400.

These usb earphones... Each brand is going to have their own. Price is going up and sometimes they are hard to find.

I had a Sony Ericson W395 years ago. The earphone and charger shared the connection port. I was awful.
Earphone got broken, a new one was expensive at the time.

Lack of the jack does not increase the Ingress Protection ( Apple has ip67, Sony and Samsung have ip68) nor make phone thinner.

      someone, 02 Nov 2017I don't know from which angle it is bezeless !!! .. LOL ...... morenexus 6 have ~74.1% screen-to-body ratio
      htc u11 plus have ~78.0%.
please before you talk go see specs. and nexus 6 is way wider, more difficult to hold on 1 hand.
at least htc went to a good LCD quality, not like pixel 2 XL that went low quality OLED from LG.

Rafe Firmani, 02 Nov 2017All you people with the 3.5mm jack really need to get over ... moreI want to be able to choose. I want to be able to choose between high quality audio and convenience. Thats not for nothing that I have hybrid headphones that do jack and BT.
And good headphones with jack can be kept forever. With BT... when the battery dies, its a total loss

There's no bezel-less design in this phone. There isn't even less bezels. HTC only put a 18:9 screen in the old design.

AnonD-308477, 02 Nov 2017yup. Seems like they finish with it after htc 10 :/ . Even ... moreAll you people with the 3.5mm jack really need to get over it. You sound like babies that just can't understand one simple thing: the 3.5mm is dying and sooner or later every phone maker is going to get rid of it. The reasons why they're doing this are various and it always comes down to making things easy: e.g. it's easier to make the phone water resistant. Some companies might even through something in return: Apple threw in the "cool" and easy to use (no tangled wires, although losing them might be a bitch) Airpods, because most Apple customers either wanna be cool or just want something easy to use, HTC threw in headphones that adapt to the shape of your ears, since they always wanted to have "premium" audio. Stop whining because you don't really need it : "Weaaaah I wan't to listen to music with my one trillion dollar headphones". Apart from not everyone of you being a fracking audiophile ("I got these really expensive headphones, I'm such an expert in music"), you get an adapter you can use with whatever headphones you want, "Weaaah I wanna charge and listen to music at the same time", Be fracking serious, the battery is going to last you the entire day (almost 4Ah) and even if you are somehow a d*ckhead who forgot to charge and wants to complain about how phone makers don't put 10Ah batteries in their products, you can just charge it for 20 mins and you have 50% battery (Hello ). Come on, you can postpone your precious music for 20 mins. You people need to stop acting like you're the hub of the universe because you're not and the sooner you get this, the better.

Brnare, 02 Nov 2017Would be perfect if they didn't ditch that innocent 3.5mm jack.yup. Seems like they finish with it after htc 10 :/ . Even if i want the phone i will not buy it because the lack of Jack. They dont even give you that little part so you can use a normal jack.
If they want to be apple they should do the same and add that part.

Not having OLED screen is a huge minus,
but lack of the 3.5mm jack is a total disaster.

I have great 3.5 mm phones that have no close bluetooth alternatives and do not plan to shell over 300 EUR on a new ones (to get one more device to charge).

HTC, this is really stupid. You are loosing profits and customers, you are not in the position to REMOVE essential features like 3.5 mm jack!!

bezel-less means exactly that less bezels
which seems every phone with StB more than 75%
very nice design I like it seems like a very good phone and something different than the rest

Why do they call the cam Ultra Pixel?
It is same sensor of Zen3Zoom and Moto G5+.
                              Not their own sensor.
