2048x1536 is impossible, no one GPU so far can support thus big resolution.

Apple clearly knows that there are lot of dumb people who think they are smart. So they came up with smart looking dumb phone and as they say rest is history. Humanity cannot afford to have too many smart people.

Phones are typically held closer to the eye than a big display device like a tablet. So, for a tablet display, 264 ppi is pretty much a retina display at the appropriate distance.
Also, "Retina Display" is a term coined by apple and they will twist the definition to call the next iPad display a retina display.

Iphone 5 isn't coming in Australia till Feburary next year, i don't think its right to headline that its coming SEP and then read that the "most probable date" would be sep.. just more apple bs hype trying to buy time so they don't get crushed by the galaxy 2

I hope that Apple raises it's game. The Nokia N9 has a very interesting design. Making things seem very cool using new technology. The UI is breath off fresh air and the hardware slick.
