Most of you people keep saying that nokia made a BIG mistake not taking up Android. But have you even considered using your heads a little bit. No offense.
Lets say nokia took up android and released a dual core device. But since Samsung, HTC and others have been making android devices since a long time, that will make them more experienced (or at least make the consumers believe that). This thought itself is enough to lead nokia to doom. Instead of following something that is already going strong with other manufacturers, nokia decided to use a different and unique OS to make devices. That at least will give them a big chance to hit the market or be doomed trying. But at least the chance to make more income with windows or meego is more than just adding a few more android devices to this obsolete android ruled mobile industry. Android isn't that great. It didn't even make the impact that Apple did when it announced iphone or what Meego is doing now. People are drooling all over. Just think about what nokia can do. Meego devices isn't even out and Android Interface is already looking obsolete (iOS is nothing without its apps, android is at least something).
And i didn't write all this to provoke the fans of Android or iOS. But at least think about it a bit more. Nokia will come back very strongly cause they have something that other manufacturers had to work much harder to achieve. That is Trust. At least i feel that way. Peace.....

Looks its even more real. The N9 lacks a single key. Seems it will pack a virtual keyboard to use the andriod apps. Nice move,Nokia

[deleted post]It says that the devs need to repackage it before it runs on this phone so its totally up to the developers. I dont think google can sue if the devs want to sell an app for another OS.
As for the lag, almost all phones can be hard-resetted by holding the power button for a few seconds (i know BBs dont, u really need to remove the battery). Its also pretty obvious that you are being biased since you probably didnt even look at this phone at all, normal people would realize that the battery is non-removable if they actually read the article. Its either you didnt read it ( like i said, biased) or your a total retard who cant understand what he's reading.

Nokia finaly made a good decision, would love to heve nokia build fone with android apps. Meego is a good direction for the company and i guess many will agree with me on that one. Remember competition is good! More manufacturers more fun and cheaper prices. Maybe one day i will buy nokia but for now optimus 3d is a best phone just now.

This is the lamest news I've heard of late!
Nokia along with all their obnoxious fanboys have always been so quick
to criticize and writeoff Android over the last few years but now they want use Androids apps and basically allow Meego to piggyback on Androids success... LAME!
Nokia know they are losing major ground to the Android revolution and are too proud to admit that there decision to distance themselves from Android and continue to ride the dead Symbian horse has hit their market share very badly.
Nokia I still maintain is an excellent manufacturer but their recent decisions have been poor... HELL... they could of been the Undisputed Kings of Android but NO... they chose to isolate themselves... SHAME!
Meego aint gonna be a hit... trust me!
Meego = Linux = Fail!
Nokias days at the top are numbered....
