For example, it makes room for other internals, simplifies designs, opens up new design choices and keeps the cost down, especially in terms of waterproofing.

If fewer and fewer people use the 3.5 mm port anyway, there's literally no reason to include it in the tight spaces of our modern smartphones.

    Ice said he "thinks" the S9 would keep the 3.5 mm port. He didn't know it would, he just thought it might.

          If samsung gonna do a true full bezelless screen, start with the transparent screen which they can hide the sensors and front camera when not in use.

            Also, these are the typical disinformation trolls by bloggers with alternative motives, be it ad clicks or cash in the pocket. The exact same rumours were going on about the S8. Both the fake early release troll and the one about the removed headphone jack.
