I used it in beta on notebook PC, it's still slow though there are some tool and new features such as Web developer, Firefox health report and some extension or add-ons more complicated but Indeed quite useful and also display updates, The Firefox Quantum still weighs its app size by consuming 126 MB, I don't know because I used Win 32 bytes, maybe it does not happen on Win 64 bytes, on Android because I am Indonesian, I use Firefox Rocket and it is very simple, it does not have many tools, only there is turbo mode and clear browsing data, but I hope also add-ons feature, I admit Firefox is indeed also has the best browser such as also Google.

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2017Yeah, if about 20% of market share counts as irrelevant.Seems to be less than 15%, although i thought it's smaller:

Firefox has a lot of important addons with worse or non-existent alternatives on Chrome. For example the addons that I have mentioned in my previous comment (Findbar Tweak is better than Chrome's own feature). Even the Ublock is better in Firefox, because it supports script tag blocking, while Chrome doesn't support it.

Firefox for Android is the only one browser for mobile that can be configured to always open all pages in desktop mode (other browsers can only change user agent, while Firefox can change the viewport with this about:config setting: layout.css.devPixelsPerPx ). You can use USI addon and an user script that changes floating elements to static. And you can use Adobe Flash too. This is the only one browser that allows disabling HTML5 content ( media.webm.enabled ).

Highly disappointed so far. Extensions are broken including No-Script.I will give it a couple of days and check if it is still available if not i'm going back. I hate how pages look without no-script. Full of advertisements and useless crap

Happens very rarely under Chrome and it never forces me to restart the whole browser - just killing tab's process.

I can also name a few extentions with worse or non-existent alternatives on firefox.
Split-screen/tile-window functionality is better under Chrome-based. I also have an extension for changing audio devices for selected tab - no alternative under Firefox.
And that was before the web extension switch.

Firefox 52 ESR is an exception. It's the perfect Firefox version and browser. And it remains that forever.

Carol, 15 Nov 2017Well, let's talk about privacy;), shall we? And chrome was ... moreChrome-based browsers (Not Chrome) are very customizeabele even without the extentions. I was stubborn with Firefox exactly because i thought it's more customizable. Well when i spent more time trying to find alternative extensions for Chrome-based browsers i actually managed to make it even more convenient than Firefox. And that was before Firefox switched to web extentions. Now it has much poorer customizability.

The only thing lacking is Chrome is interface customization. But aside from the bookmark bar, there's not much to customize anyway. Interface is already compact enough and doesn't waste space, also you can have all the extension buttons of course.

I don't see how Firefox is worthy anymore. The only people who insisted on using it were the ones who wanted maximum flexibility and it's now gone with the web extensions.
