If anything the sucky software is one more reason why those upgrades should return happening first on android.
Where are the days that the best screen was on android? The best SoC, the best new (hardware) features? The days of S4 and Note 4 seem like they happened yesterday... instead Samsung took a nap lately, and even f'n Apple one-ups her in the very things that Samsung was supposed to be better (technological excellence).
So you have these days the Software company having the excellent Hardware and the Hardware company to run the better software ... as if we live the "opposite timeline"...

The right ratio, should be a phone which fits into your hands and you can use with one hand.

Not this rumor again...it has been with s6, s7, s8... In the meantime they make small phones that nobody wants or asked for, flip phone, foldable phones and all kind of weirdo stuff.

It is great Samsung are thinking of bringing out a Mini. The last one was the S5 mini.
The J-series, has been downgraded.
Samsung seem to think people who buy small phones, also want rubbish specs. Some of us want a balance between spec and value for money.
It would be great if you they took say the Samsung Note 4 and brought out a Mini version of that. I love the idea of a stylus phone, but they need to reduce the size. The SonyEricsson has small stylus in the P800, P900 and P910.
I have already broken phone 2-3 screens. So I don't want a very expensive phone for this reason. Phone these days have curved screens, they serve no purpose at all and all they do is make the phone more fragile.
I also want a physical home button, because, it saves 0.5 seconds, because when you take the phone out of your pocket, you know which way around it is....

(in my variant you could use just 6 cores out of EIGHT. at 2.6 GHz and the A53 at 1.6 GHz.) the GPU is a Mali-T880 of 12 cores. and the modem was slower.
the S8 used a SECOND GEN Mongoose cores. faster A53. FAR better modem. and the BEST GPU in the mobile system. the mali-G71MP20.

Yes! Please Samsung, give us more options in tiny flagship territory!
Sony and Apple are dominant here, so the more options, the better.
But no need for 18:9 though. 4.6" 18:9 would be almost less than 4.2" in 16:9.

You may not like it, but you're not supposed to buy it at all. I doubt it will hurt you if they ever made one, considering the S9 lineup will be similar to the S7 and S8 lineups (one standard size and another larger model) but only with the addition of the small model.
As much as I, a Sony fan, loves my own brand being special by being the only manufacturer that makes small flagships, I think it's time that others return to the compact flagship territory and give us so much more options if not better.
After all, smartphones are really meant to be "pocketable."

why you want a baselees mobile? Do you want a jewell or a mobile? Stop acting like little girls and start using your whatever phones to call,message fcbk etc...And get a life!
As long my phone opens my garage door, connects to my car's audiosystem and has a stunning camera i'm happy... If you want frameless go buy a mirror and use it in front of your phones!!!

I hope the S9 series is Allscreen like the iPhone X. Bezelless is so early 2017 and I hope all phone companies follow suit. If you really want "Bezelless", remove the chin and forehead too.
I remember a 2016 Samsung patent where it too will have a notch like PH-1 and iPhone X.
