Those Techno, Infinix and Gionee are wack, yes but don't forget when they launched here in Ikeja, computer village a lot of us were mocking them but persisted with their strong adverts till everyone's started having a symbol of those phones in it....Smiles.
When the desirable is not available then the available becomes desirable, that's exactly what happened to Nigeria mobile biz. You know Samsung is there because it doesn't joke with its adverts, did you see the note 8 adverts on lekki toll gate? It's says, a special warranty for Nigerians, and 24 months for that matter.
Or can you at least point a single, a mean even if it's a second advert from HTC in Nigeria.....if I hear!

We buy phones because of we want what the next guy already has. that why great companies like Google (Nexus and Pixel), Htc and to name a few other will never have a foothold in the Nigerian Smartphone market. So was in Nigeria recently and seeing the smartphone scene in Computer Village there in Ikeja made me sad. Outdated phones are still praised as the best over there.

I think their persistence with their stupid 4MP ultrapixel camera started their downfall. They were pretty famous before that. Still, no phone that existed is better at audio quality than HTC. HTC has had the ability to challenge Samsung and co, but their arrogance led to their fall.

Gabriel, 23 Nov 2017i have been using HTC for a while, do you have it in Nigeri... moreI learnt they have a contact person in Nigeria, I have his number but for I think he's not doing enough or at least he should suggest to HTC ways to market their products. You see all billboards Lagos Samsung bombarding them with s8+ and Note 8, Techno, Infinix, Gionee all spending lavishly on adverts, a country of more than 200 million people HTC can not boast of just 500 thousand of their phones sold there then it's a big shame.
Their all marketing team for me should be fired. In fact, Google bought your designers , HTC you go buy some marketing guys from Samsung, Apple and Google.
I'm your die hard fan but you are falling my hands man.

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2017I dare you to tell me that they are better than my senheise... moreI suggest to you to buy the Bose QC35 or the Sony Base Boost bluetooth headphones. I know that wire headphones are still 10000 times better and cheaper, but you should try these Bluetooth headphones. The battery in the QC 35 will last you 20+ hours. Which for me is a whole week. The sony MDR1000X is also a great Bluetooth headset. You can complain all you want about the headphone jack (like I did before), but it's going away anyway whether you like it or not. In 2019 it'll be a rare thing.
Just try one of the 3 headphones I suggested to you. And please don't reply to me about any other wired headphones because I know that they're better and please don't reply to me to complain about the headphone jack. I left all my complaints in the trash and moved on.

If you're NEW to HTC phones, my first advice is DON'T BUY MIDRANGE HTC phones.
They're sucks in chipset (mediatek), or lousy camera etc... And many people dissapointed because they using Desire or X series.
Buy ONLY flagship. Be it last year's HTC10.. It's an amazing and underrated phone of 2016.
If you willing to shell more money, you can buy u11 or u11+... They're excellent in their own ways. Never lags whatsoever even after years using it. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
Camera and audio quality are eccellent, stellar battery life. You will never regret to own one :)

On top of this feature missing are coming better options that any other phone out there can cover. Name only one to me better featured, and smoother, just one ;)

I never said about buy a specific earbuds because U11+ comes with the USonic earbuds for free (no complaining). If you like over-the-head, there's a free USB-C to Jack adaptor for that.
Do you want to die by charging the phone while you sleep with your headphones on? I'm glad there's a restriction for that. If ever, just use your backup to deal with the headphone music.
