Why are you guys after Oneplus? Do you not know Xiaomi?
Alright, for starters, even their calculator app has 6-7 unneeded permissions including internet. And they have installed un-removable apps on all our phones remotely, without provocation.
Like that, poof! and its there next morning. I'm talking about Mi Picks/ Apps, etc.
Its MI which is loading bloat to older phones, using software updates that are supposed to make phones faster and lighter.
But since its older phones, no one gives a damn.

The update to this article might bring a sigh of relief to OnePlus users but that will be temporary. Privacy is a non-existing thing in this age of internet. Data transmission is happening all round the world with users of any brand or OS, in front of everyone. A simple app requests so many unnecessary permissions, if not for data mining then for what. Unfortunately, we as users have no other way than to comply with the authorities. Whether you're a terrorist or not, you'll be tracked, your data will be mined but at the end of the day, security companies still fail to prevent terrorist attacks even after tracking users. Exploits like these allows for development of apps which can mine specific user data until these vulnerabilities are patched by the software provider but thankfully, if you opt out of diagnostic data (which you should) you're good to go, I assume. If I had the resources and the technical know-how, would probably develop my own OS and apps to use on the OS, just to have the mental satisfaction or to satisfy my OCD of having no prying eyes on my user data.

I do not like iOs but I think soon I will buy a cheap one just for doing my financial transactions. Loopholes in Android cellphones like this are shaking my confidence. Too bad original blackberry is dead.

Majority of the Chinese companies invade privacy and collect your data. Lenovo, Xiaomi, One plus, Oppo and many others do that. Nothing is free when one can give you at bargaining price there are pitfalls to user.
