GSMArena team: I suggest that you do a story about all so-called personal data collection accusations hurled at OnePlus so far, and clear the air. From what I have observed, it is all blown way out of proportion

Please also define what is 'Personal' data. Working in the financial services industry, I find it ridiculous how loosely this term is being used on these 'tech' sites.

One thing is stadistics, bugs, etc. And another serious and potentially dangerous is an app, probably even hided to not let you see it installed easilly, that allow remotely take your media files. Because is that function is implemented I bet that another to push more ones is present too. And now that it is known of its existence, someone will try to find it and take advantage of it for their benefit ... like copy your media, delete it and then blackmail you.

It is a serious accusation. Let's see what the answer is from OnePlus ... Especially if the evidence is flagrant and can not be denied. Or if they try to avoid responsibilities if they can remotely erase it before everything explodes.

And of course we instantly see OnePlus bots here, singing the same song -"Everyone do tat, it's ok!" No, it is not. If people can investigate data, collecting and trasferring by any app - it's a serious security hole. But does OnePlus care user's security? Never. I think they have to cange "Never settle" to "Ever collect"
