Nokia N9 to miss on some major markets

30 June, 2011
The Nokia N9 certainly made a great first impression and a lot of people are eager to get their hands on it. That's why Nokia put up a webpage, that should help you find out when the device becomes available in your...

Nice one Elop!

The world doesn't need to know MeeGo. The money is on WP and that's the truth!

I hope this will be the first and last MeeGo phone by Nokia and I do hope that they will consolidate/dissolve the MeeGo team. WP is far more superior than the DOA MeeGo anyways.

I can't wait to get my hands on the Sea Ray, the best phone Nokia has ever made.

For those of you who hates Elop, I say screw you. Nokia needs to make money and MeeGo won't bring them the $$$ they need. Elop is a bold leader with great convictions. He's the best CEO Nokia has ever had.

Long live Elop! Long live Nokia! Long live MS and WP! And sayonara MeeGo!

The next natural step in force feeding us WP7 feels like Elop holding a gun to the head until you buys his phone.

I'm sorry GSMArena but I just can't help but express my rant. Tell Elop that he can't force that stupid Windows Phone on us. I'd rather buy an iPhone 5 than buy a Windows Phone device which killed my faith, trust and loyalty to my once favorite brand and company.

As much as I love Nokia and been a Nokia brand loyal for 10 years now, I just hope that Nokia fails with Windows Phone this time. This is just too much!

I am applying for CEO nokia, anyone know where should I apply ? This is just getting more and more disheartening. The best company in mobile business has best chance and time to get back to top technically. But they are behaving so stupidly marketing wise. I am of 34 and i have grown up with nokia in my hand, except on samsung galaxy spica. That too i have left in 8 months, and started using nokia E61 refurbished handset. But this is so stupid.

So this pricey device will only be sold to poor countries with no potential buyers? What a clever marketing idea!

Its not available in India too... They probably ignored one of the greatest market they had!

Elop obviously wants to kill it before it even arrives. Why release it anyway? They should've cancelled it if that's so. This is the first time Nokia has taken on a very silly marketing.

I think Mr Elop really wants to kill everything that is not infected with MicroSucks-stuff. They must pay him big dolars... MS that is...

Funny coincidence... All those store and online store are closing in those countries (US, UK, France & etc).

The same countries won't be able to have Nokia N9 unlocked and unbranded when you check the availability:
                                    http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/devices/nokia-n9/check-availability

That's sad they force people get a locked/branded Nokia device through a carrier... Stupid same strategy like Apple...

I don't think they won't ship to USA & UK, maybe they just didn't add the Countries yet or whatever
