My friend has Xperia Z2 even though he is not using it anymore, he gave it to me for battery replacement, and he bought it when it was released, that phone is still lag free. I had one Xperia Z1 that i got from friend, i needed to bring it back from dead (i needed to replace aluminum frame, screen, back, power button flex cable) and after i turned it on, it was so smooth. I couldnt believe that. From that day my respect for Sony grew even more. As for the looks, i dont like that their phones have 90 degrees angle on corners, it kinda stubs my hands and isnt comfortable to hold. The other thing that i dont like is UI, but i guess i could get used to it.

most people dont buy those brands because they can't afford to buy it. and those brands do have many goodness that regular brands dont.
most people dont buy xperia because they intentionally avoid it. LOL. it looks ugly with average build quality with so many camera problems. and also because it has ugly old ui that hasnt been improved for many many years.

Not good. 5.7 inch is not enough I believe. Why? Rivals have phones with bigger screen. Battery capacity is not big enough too. I am not bashing Sony, but I believe they should come up with a great feature if they want more profit. They should make dual camera phones already and add optical zoom, or they should make a shatterproof device, or add both of the features. If they will not change their view, they will sink. Now, newer companies are growing stronger than Sony. This is kinda sad.
This is coming from a Sony user by the way.

They should at least double if not quadruple their memory storage so Youtuber, Phone Battles, could run another session to test if it could shoot 4K video past XZ Premium's 1:42:37 record time.

for a 5.7" phone, 149 x 74 x 7.5 mm isn't exactly bezelless while Samsung and Apple offer 5.8" with much smaller footprint.

1 optics - too wide a... moreSpeaking from experience, softness, noise and artifacts increase with exposure time, and stabilisation should offset that a lot.
Second point yeah improved HDR would help a lot. An IMX400 with stabilisation and raw support running hdr+ software would be a great camera.
