Samsung working on a WP7 version of the Galaxy S II?

04 July, 2011
After sparking a furor in the Android world with its I9100 Galaxy S II flagship, Samsung is obviously considering lending the form factor to another platform. A particularly juicy rumor has it that...

Smart move of Samsung by reusing succesful hardware for other OS and not wasting time to unnecessarily reinventing new chassis.

Windows phone 7 is really coming along, I bought an LG optimus 7 just to see how it would compare to android and the iPhone. At first I was a little disappointed but since I've hacked the mango beta onto the phone it is truly amazing. Seriously this phone out performs the iPhone in most tasks and it only cost £185 from expansys. I'm just hoping some killer hardware will come out with a qwerty keyboard as that for me will be the reason to never go back to the competetors.

I think this is a great choice. WP7 is an amazing OS, wake up people.

I plan on picking up my first WP7 phone once Mango comes out.

Yep, Nokia have the advantage here and will bring something different. It is nice though that we have more than Android to look forward to.

I can't wait for Nokia to release their first WP device. All the efforts made by Samsung, LG, HTC and the other WP OEMs will look stupid next to Nokia's W series. Nokia will be skinning their WP devices while these OEMs won't be able to and leave them stuck with plain vanilla WP. That sucks and I'm so glad Nokia is the only manufacturer with this exclusive right to skin WP.

And these were the same people that were jumping when
The Nokia N9 was shown and it didn't matter about the specs then.
Because the N9 was the best thing everyone had seen.

I know that I will get shot down in flames but Samsung
Build is crap. OK yea the screen is great but what else?
Windows phone doesn't need dual core to super smooth
So why has Samsung got the lead? Personally I found it
Hard to believe that Nokia is going to share its map tech with
                                        All other handset makers.
