On my Moto G4 I have an external 64 Gb sd-card as a part of the internal memory, and I think that is the perfect solution with no noticeable slower performance at all when playing Asphalt 8... installed on that sd-card as a part of the combined internal memory!

87% of users(12.03 16:45) have never known how good is removable storage. They should simply bin their smartphones and start using feature phones.

64GB storage with an SD slot is the perfect setup, its a comfortable internal amount but with room to grow if you need it.

Depending on what you do, even 16GB can be enough (I use mirrorless for photos).
Also microSD support means you don't have to care about actual storage support.
Even without microsd you cans tore on the could. Finally wireless internet is dead cheap to most countries.
In short, storage doesn't matter. And you never lose anything no matter which version you use (use cloud, or your Nas w FTP at worse). Shallow article.

But I'm rocking HTC U11 128gigs version, and I can't tell you how luxurious to save pics, video, or anything I want with worry-free feelings!

I think more so flagship phones should have minimum 64gb and a microsd slot, mid range 32-64 and microsd slot and lower end should be 16gb and a slot. Flash memory is very cheap nowadays which is why 8 think companies get away with storage options and also cloud storage, but you are reliant on a decent data connection for that.

For me 32GB plus sd card
Currently using device with 16GB plus newly 64GB card
Internal left 3GB, cache taken alot of space.

All phones should have Micro SD card expansion. Then storage and data transfer is a none issue. That's one of the reasons I have never owned and never will own an Iphone. Or any so called "flagship" that takes away useful features.

64 GB is good enough for the time being, but as 4K video starting to be norm(or HDR video) 4k@60fps rec, game starting to get bigger(ever heard of rumored PS game port) 128GB is needed for future proofing especially in flagship, not to mention the growing size of an OS every year

I think the best is 64 + microSD .
Of course 128 and 256 is even better but not necessary for most people as long as there is card slot .

Peoples Claim Android Have More Than Millions Application But No One Download Even 100..... Only If Ur Hard Gamer or Movie Lover Then 256 Right Choice...... I Have Used Windows Phone Lumia 640 Which Is Only 8gb But My 32gb Memory Card Uses All....5gb Applications In Memory Card....... For Normal 64gb Is Good Otherwise 256gb Awesome :)

Every bloody device should have an sd card slot..
Stuff Google and its stupid ideas on "security" why not an sd card,compared to some of the huge great holes android has,an sd card is secure and its in MY possession,why should I be forced to have to upload MY data to some cheapo insecure cloud system run by greedy idiots like Apple or Google,I don't trust them and like to keep MY data in my pocket..
There will always be someone making devices with card slots,they will gain at others cost..
I don't care how good nexus,pixels or A's are,no slot,no me buyee..

128GB + microSD is the ideal option, but I've voted for 64gb as it seems to be the best option in regards to price to performance ratio granted it comes with a microSD slot.

64 GB built-in + 64 GB SD-card is okay, but it's not like I have plenty of free storage space left on my phone. 256 GB would be the best.
