no name1, 15 Dec 2017i understood what u mention they disturb the UI but may be ... moreI am all for differentiating factor, as long as it doesn't come at the cost of spoiling the UX. The round button was iconic to apple, people recognized it was an iPhone just looking the front of the phone, but nobody complained about button as they are now complaining about the notch, it didn't spoil UX like notch is doing. look at Nextbit Robin, the phone wasn't a success for several reasons but one thing was unquestionable that it did have a unique and fresh design, it was easily recognizable from the bunch of smartphones and they didn't need to spoil user experience for it. The very fact that Apple could say 'screw the UX, we'll put branding first' is what I kept referring to as 'Apple's Arrogance'.

AnonD-80334, 14 Dec 2017I said homogeneous bar rather than cutting out half of stat... morei understood what u mention they disturb the UI but may be they can improve in the upcoming model like iphone 9 or x2. also many complain the notch is ugly ..... but temporary this is the only way to show it is an iphone expensive phone and new model latest iphone... like the camera at the back they change to vertical from horizontal .... same as iphone 7plus they change to dual cam at the back to show it is new iphone at the time. for iphone 8 they change to glass that can be noticeable.... this is because they do sell older model... like 6s 7 8 .... if no difference customer surely buy older cheaper model... as all previous also smooth as ios the best software....
Also previous ly from front the circle home button is exclusively for apple no company can copy it... once people see it know it is expensive iphone... since now gone they need to do it with notch.... yes some say it is ugly... may be they can improve incoming new model they need to find better way to differentiate itself once seee it is iphone...
they can easily just follow samsung s8 but no body will know it is cheaper samsung s8 or cheapest china phone ca=os now all china bezelless follow samsung type....
other better screen to body ratio? are u sure... i dont think so.

So there you have it, going slim on bezels without messing up the UX, i don't know how to make it easier to understand that notch cuts status bar into half, no way to see all status bar icons without pulling the control center down, and as i said it's apple's arrogance that they think they can mess up ux just for branding and their customer base will tolerate it, you are exactly proving my point, cutting status bar into half or video content in full screen isn't subjective, it's out there in front of you, if people choose to put up with it, good luck.

so the home button will be move to the back... yes as i said the notch is to differentiate bezelless phone this is expensive iphone....
u mean not convenient to swipe from top or bottom actually this is subjective... if u getting use to or do it everytiime u will not find it troublesome and inconvenient same as fingerprint case for me...
by the way apple to provide virtual home button? u know? with it u can do everything fast

no name1, 13 Dec 2017it is only if u familiar with it or not after u get use to ... moreFirst, It's not by preference but by compromise people went on the back side of the phone for fingerprint sensor for most part, The front had minimal bezels and with reduction in bezels manufacturers went on the back. The cut out on iPhone X is not there because of any constraint, it's there for branding, they could have had homogeneous bar like others but then it would look like others and that's the whole reason for the notch, to 'look' different than others. Not to mention now your status bar is cut in half, so that's not something related to preference, not to mention no fingerprint sensor, front or back. And as i said, it's Apple's arrogance based on their loyal consumer base, so people 'learn' to like reaching to corners of the top of the phone just because it's by apple, had any body else done that, tech community would have laughed in their face.

S... moremade on budget? how much iPhone x cost? only $1000 compare to $ 100000 for relax. by the way iPhone brand for 2017 is higher ranking than a rolex...just google it... not to mention apple spend so much to have team to make software compare to other just take android and pay little $. This make it the seamless integration between hardware and software which make it fastest and apps developer specially develop it for apple.... added with best camera, best screen, longest update , highest brand ...it simply worth the $1000 or more. for the bug will be fix in next update... : D

I don't understand why it's necessary for phone to mess up the user experience for the heck of branding or differentiating itself, If it came at no UX cost i would not mind but the notch comes at user experience cost, full-screen videos have an ugly cutout, scroll bars hiding behind the notch, status bar losing half the screen real estate, people needing to reach absolute corners at the top for control and notification.... Notch is just Apple arrogance thinking that they can get away with something like that because of loyal customer base that accepts anything they make.....

6K is 18.6 Megapixels, about double as high, which I think a powerful chip can do, if it supports it.
My thinking is that, the flash memory has to be really fast, and yes, this is an achievable target by Androids, although in lower overall quality probably.

You're dreaming mate. the cores are not powerful enough to process such a thing in android. (the Kryo 385 can do only 2680 points! and to do 6k@30FPS you need ATLEAST an I7 6600U level which is what A11 got!)

I myself prefer the typical 1080@30fps even though my iPhone can do 4k@60 FPS (work phone. My main one is Android.) but you can't predict what's one's decision. each will do their preferences.

Apple should've used those instead of their own manufactured glass and stainless steel.
