Luke5119, 10 Dec 2017I have a pair of older Bose IE2 earbuds, but the sheeting i... moreYes but their aren't trying to push when it comes to artistic or other kind of professional usage as it's stupid. Simply you do lose fine lower & upper spectrum regarding BT. To be honest when I have luxury (which is rather rarely & rarely) I prefer to listen trough good old vintage tree system boxes. The argument about the space simply doesn't drink water on the phones...

It's good for studio mastering but not enough for your phone? How dumb someone needs to be to believe that? I will always use it all over the bord.

It depend with what ur preferred.. But for me, no need for 3.5mm jack anymore coz I prefer wireless connection.. Today we got Bluetooth with APTX tech so no more worry about high quality audio or movie output. I'm using JBL Reflect Mini / JBL everest 300 as daily earphone, JBL Charge 3 as my portable speaker and JBL Cinema SB350 as my home theatre, so for me wireless is way simple and I love it..

3.5mm is standard for audio and unless a new standard replaces it i would feel the need. also i think dongle sucks. i am still on HTC 10 and i believe there will be 3.5mm jack on all phones again sooner than you think (there is a thing with waterproofing that seems only samsung figured correctly-also the problem of batteries that will soon enough will be handeled(yes ... i belive in next two years batteries will have tripple capacities)

small correction. Apple did not turn off the 3.5 mm jack. It was actually Moto Z in 2016 which was followed by the release of iPhone7/plus. I having the iPhone 7 Plus give the credit to Moto Z. Credit should go wherever it should. Amen 3.5 mm Jack. by 2018 end, even Samsung may plan to adopt USB C earphone styles. Il come back next year on this post ;)

Saurabh198, 10 Dec 2017Why isn't there one which says "Yes I use the 3.5mm jack" Yes, I noticed that. You would think a mobile phone website would display properly on mobile phones!

Only wired headphones. Honestly there's no getting around it... removing headphone jack is just dumb.
I don't have money to buy that huge bluetooth headphones, or space to carry that thing around.
Wireless earbuds are easy to lose, drop, damage... and pain in the ass to use.
Not to mention that it sucks having to charge both, headphones or earbuds and phone individually, then there is shit like forgetting to charge them, connecting to bluetooth... and they are often offering lower quality sound than their wired counterparts .

I have a pair of older Bose IE2 earbuds, but the sheeting is starting to come off on them so I seldom use them. I also have a pair of over-ear 808 Duos, which I can use interchangeably with bluetooth or wired. Honestly, unless you're a true audiophile, a solid pair of quality bluetooth headphones/earbuds sound just as nice as a pair of premium headphones. That being said, I know bluetooth pales in comparison to those higher end Sennheiser and Audio Technica headphones in terms of total sound quality, but I'm not a "true" audiophile, so this is of little concern to me. I can make do with a dongle if I have to, and being that I don't travel often, charging isn't that big of a deal. Lets face it folks, it has its niche, it's just slowly becoming the industry standard and people are pushing back.

I've been using various Bluetooth headphones for at least 8 years. Not being tethered to the phone with a cable was more convenient, than better sound quality with wired headphones. But wireless headset had always one quite prominent flaw- it is battery powered. Once the battery run dry, you were done for. Unless you've been carrying backup wired headphones.
Yes, if you've been always carrying extra pair of wired headphones, having different type or having dongle as well is not that much of a problem, but it is less convenient. And like I said at the beginnig of my comment, use of wireless headphones should be all about convenience (and so should be the case with its backup if its battery dies).

I have several sets of great headphones I do not plan on replacing for long years. Some are more expensive than mid-range phones. Not only they cost a lot, they took a lot of time to pick, there are no wireless ones that come close, and if there were I would not spend money on the same thing all over again (in a yet another device I would also need to charge).
Headphones can sometimes last decades. My phone is my main device for listening to the music outside of my house. I would never buy a phone without a headphone jack. The last company still making them will get my money if nobody else does.

No, I always using Bluetooth. From headphone, HiFi and bluetooth speaker, all in high quality. 3.5mm jack is good, but today wireless is available to stream music, video or transfer through connection so no problem without 3.5mm jack. Just my personal opinion..

Wow, even they try to "HIDE" the "I do, wouldn't buy a phone without one" choice on some mobile devices, it still leave other choices in dust.

3.5mm is the best solution to me for listening music and yet most of the Bluetooth speaker still have a 3.5mm jackhole to save battery.

wireless headphones/earphones are comparitively more expensive than the their non wired counterpart(i know, the exra parts they have to design like dac, battery etc, quite understandable) bt they are even not better in quality ,either make usb-c earphones available everywhere while having them for cheap to ,or just keep headphone jack,we dont mind thickness that much, and people complaining that "why dont people use dongle" should know the fact that WE HAVE TO CARRY THEM EVERYWHERE , I mean bluetooth earphones are better than carrying a dongle always

AnonD-441601, 10 Dec 20173,5 is all that block the way to freedom.
Wireless is freedom. Sure. It "blocks your freedom".
My phone has a 3.5mm jack and it's impeding me from using my Bluetooth headphones cause it "blocks your freedom".
People please at least think a bit before posting, it's precisely the other way around...
