This poll is stupid giving us just 2 options! I'm not moving to Bluetooth,usb-c and I don't want to live the dongle life. I just want the 3.5 mm jack.No jack ,NO buy.!

Been using a BT earphone for few years already
But i think keeping the 3.5mm audio jack design
= giving more options to users, does no harm

Wireless drains battery faster not only on the phone but the headset aswell and overheats the phone further..... Also having another disposable headset whose battery will last for like a year is non eco friendly and another waste to the planet.

Or instead of removing it why not replace it with a smaller 2.5 audio jack
Just like nokia phones back then they used 2.5 audio jack

of course i still use it. all my 3.5 mm headphones sound better than any bluetooth ones.

i much prefer using wired headset because it's much lesser power to drive than power demanding bluetooth headset which has lesser battery life too

I only use the USB-C port via adapter as my portable amp/DAC is USB-powered.

My current phone has a 3.5" jack.
I can see that I'll have to put up with a dongle in my next phone, which sucks.
My phone is my iPod.
It's a major, major part of what I do with it.

I'm also not sure how you don't consider 2 days of battery life 'long'. I do. Most people likely do.
And no, you don't lose 15-20 % power in a year of quick charging. The losses are minimal, and are temperature related. You'd have to post some sources for your claims, because even Battery University disagrees with you. Do you know what is damaging though? Charging to full, keeping your battery at 100 % and higher temperatures (caused by things such as charging your device while using it).

Killing off the 3.5 jack is plain stupid. It effectively kills off compatibility (w/o dongles) of so many headphones from different companies, whether modern or 30 years old. It is also a pro-proprietary move, with Apple trying to make you have to use their products (EarPods) instead of others. Dongles are an unnecessary clutter and they cost extra too, and oh you can presumably easily lose them too.

I have wireless headphones (Sony WH-1000 XM2) but still prefer to use my headphones wired! By the way, GSMA, Apple did not kill the headphone jack and was not the first company to remove it, that was LENOVO on the Moto Z!

I used to use the 3.5mm on my Blackberry Classic quite a bit. Both for headphones and for connecting to car audio system.
But then about 12-15 months ago the port stopped working. I do miss it.
I could probably do without one for my next phone though, I would just need to upgrade my other gear (eg. car audio, headphones) to be bluetooth compatible.

Bluetooth is convenient while at home, I use Bluetooth headsets for working out and a Bluetooth speaker for listening to music while cleaning the house, but my car does not have Bluetooth connectivity. As such, I use an auxiliary cable to listen to music from my phone. To be honest, I prefer it that way, as I can make use of my V30's superior Quad-DAC for better sound quality than if I were to get a Bluetooth adapter for my car.

I do have a phone with jack and I wouldn't buy one without it.
USB-C headphones - if you want to pay 250$ for USB-C port repair after half a year of using your phone, go for it. It's going to break sooner or later because of constant moving while you have your phone inside your pocket with headphones plugged in.
