I do, can't go without it. I use it for my car stereo and for my headphones (I'd really hate to charge yet another device, carry more chargers/cables and replacing my phones every time the battery starts deteriorating. That's total madness. Nothing convenient or practical about it.).
The only thing i use bluetooth is my bluetooth speaker and if my phone was powerful enough, i'd even use passive portable speakers - i've done it with my previous phones and found it more convenient.

You can use a USB-C splitter to charge and listen to music at the same time. USB-C audio is compatible with any audio output device with a USB-C port. USB-C headphones are not "way more" expensive than 3.5 mm options, though the price does naturally increase a bit as there are more parts involved.

Phylyp, 10 Dec 2017+1 to this. I use a Bluetooth headset for audio extensively... moreA good choice then is to get a Bluetooth headset with a USB-C audio input option. Best of both worlds.

I am glad for that. It was just waste of space in a phone. Thats my opinion.

Jesus Christ where you get those polls ideas?
How we could not use mini-jack if still almost ALL media/music devices use it.
Just because there is new trend in phone market to milk users from money by buying dongles it doesnt mean that this standard is old or dying.
mini-jack is not like USB where you can update it to transfer more data or power. Mini-jack transfer ANALOG signal to headphones, you cant invent here anything new right now.
All those dongles and bluetooth devices do exactly the same but make few more annoying steps just to transfer all that fancy named digital signal... to analog one. Because no matter how much OEMs will poison people with their advertising, headphones still need to have analog signal, transfered via just three cables. All that ""magic"" in phone need to be converted to signal that will go trough those three cables.
By removing it from phones, OEMs actually make phones less useful. They advertise them as all-in-one device but in the same time they strip them from anything that can be sold separately.
And even BT headphones are not that useful even with latest tech that make sound more than "average old FP radio". Any person who treat music seriously know that BT headphones are good just for a walk in the park once per week, and even that is not so certain because for most of time you find out that battery inside is flat...
And average lifespan of such headphones are maybe 2-3 years, because after that time battery inside can lost even half of its initial juice.
Not to mention that most of them dont really have best guts in the first place so its not like sound will balance the cost and time you spend maintaining them.

Never used a USB-C headset (and probably never will for the foreseeable future). Like to have the flexibility of a 3.5mm jack available when the headset's battery dies.

Of course I'm using it. I had phones capable of playing music and video, but without a headphone jack, around 2005-2010. I'm not going back to that.

I do still use it, although I haven't used headsets/headphones/etc nowadays for the sake of hearing. The jack is also useful for turning on FM radio, since to turn it on you have to plug in earphones as the antenna (I belong to those who still listen to FM radio in smartphones sometimes, and I prefer to do it offline a.k.a. no streaming). USB-C earphones are yet to be popular in my country anyways. So, I vote for Team 3.5 mm Jack.
I also agree with Thesis86's comment, which I quote:
"The way it looks, companies are removing essentials to force us to pay more for their accessories. It isn't about advancing tech." I feel that since Bluetooth earphones and friends are around 2-3 times more expensive than regular 3.5 mm jack earphones.

I dont use it and i never will.
Its a feature which should be replaced by anything else long time ago.
Even today is too late.
Its just wasting a space for battery better camera etc. A lot more important devices in the phone.

It is all about profits. Nothing to do with thinner phones, waterproofing or bigger batteries.
USB earphones cost more than regular earphones.
No matter if you have a LG, Sony, OP, Samsung, Oppo, Motorola.. You could use any earphone/headphone from different brands.
Now ppl will have to buy straight from the phone's maker. Some features do not work with usb earphones from other brands.
