Look on Youtube for camera test between Note and V30. Especialliy for lowlight. V30 wins.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQVdrYUu7rk

Battery comparison - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H9pAn4Hl50 (Notice the Note 8 is cracked here too). V30 wins.

Note 8 has bigger screen that is easier to break due to curved edges and topy heavy, narrow design. Note 7 was perfect, Note 8 is a fragile mess. V30 wins.

Note 8 has 2GB more RAM but you won't notice because TouchWiz is plagued with stutter and laggy af. V30 wins.

V30 has better audio, battery, call reception, hi-res recording, camera (manual mode+wide angle+portrait mode using modded Pixel software), build, design, it literally is everything the Note 8 should've been with the exception of the pen. V30+Pen=Best phone of 2017.

I also love how people say all the YouTubers voted the Note 8 as the best phone but then all personally use other phones. :D

The v30 is practically the same in aspect ratio.
And no most comparisons clearly show that the note is better in camera. Even most lowlight scenarios.
Because lg opted for lower budget sensors that perform more poorly and require more processing. Even the f1.6 can only help so much here.
The only advantage it has is the more robust controls. Meanwhile you claim there is nothing special about tje note 8s even though its in the top few of best and better than the v30s...but the v30s is special?
And yes it had wide angle. Great use pano mode on the note 8 which uses better camera sensors and yiu can get a better quality image thats as narrow or wide as you choose.
Ans anyone that actually buys into the v30 being mil certified to the same level of the active and rugged devices is just a fan. Its a glass sandwhich lol.
And you talk about cracked note 8s as if that means something lmfao. What about the cracked v30s, iphones, Motorola's, sonys, and just about every other phone brand and model?????
You actually tried to imply that as if every other phone didnt have cracks =D

The only benefits the v30 really has over the note 8 is the dac, slightly better battery, and more camera features.
In most other objective scenarios the note is better or offers more.
Bigger better screen, more ram, better cameras..all three, better software suite and features, better available included accessories, the spen.

    Its simple fact.

The Note 8 camera is just like all the other flagship cameras, nothing special. The V30 has a wide angle lens AND much more built in manual features. Futhermore, blind tests indicate the V30 is much better than the Note 8 when people aren't judging based on bias.

The Note 8 audio is average, the V30 has a Quad DAC which has been reported time and time again as on par with mid/high end Digital Audio Players.

The Note 8 display is the best, agreed but not when many of the Note 8 phones I've seen have chipped and cracked the display. The V30 has all but ironed out the blue hue issues with preproduction and the screen looks great. I've had both phones in my hand as I work in an electrical shop and the V30 goes toe to toe and actually is better IMHO due to being truer to the 16:9 ratio and not insanely narrow! The Note 8 seems like a toy by comparison.

The V30 has all the Note 8 has to offer (CPU, GPU, IP68) as a flagship plus Military Grade drop protection, FM radio, the best cellphone reception/quality (check Geekranjit's review of V30), is the LIGHTEST flagship available and IMHO the best form factor. The Note 8 in comparison is far too narrow, long and top heavy and could easily drop. It also looks comically stupid when passersby have it.

Pretty obvious why the Note 8 has more popularity due to Samsung marketing 10x more than LG. Also why people hate on LG due to past issues with bootloop and cartoonish UI. Not one mention of the V30 bootlooping but Samsung is plagued with battery issues and you can just use the Pixel launcher. Unless of course you spend all your day going through the UI settings LOL. Sheep will be sheep.

TheLostWanderer, 26 Dec 2017How can iPhone X be a phablet?Good question... The screen estate of the iphone X is the same as the Galaxy S8 but the S8 is considered a compact phone while the iphone X is considered a phablet... And the phablet category doesn't even include the S8+, even though it will sell more total units than the Note 8 when it's all said and done. My guess: the initial thought is not to split samsung votes because of pixel 2's close second place finish in the compact poll, thus maybe resulting to a pixel 2 XL win from vote splitting between S8 plus and Note 8.

I think the best 2017 phone was the 2016 Note 7. Which Apple users claims had exploding battery. I'm my theory was lies made up to launch next iphone and hold back Samsung from taking Apples market. The Note 7 was the best off the best.

This isn't racist, it's a query based on demographic.

Let's be sincere, iPhone X is the most innovative phone here(and I don't like iPhones).
The rest are almost copies of one-another and it is just same-old, same-old.

FreezeGame, 25 Dec 2017The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is definitely best in class here.... moreSamsung again made a pretty good job.
Benchmarks are useless, since people only care everything they see on the phone is fluid, and Note8 also has most of the features. Even SD slot and headphone jack.

Samsung stays on the top because Samsung is listening what people want.
                                    Merry Christmas to you too.
