Not much competition if we compare with Note 8, blast them all. Honourable mentions are V30, which trys to put everything in a phone, without much of a compromise, except obviously physical pen. 5T in other hand offers amazing value for money, at least hardware wise, not much by software

Also, the Note 8 is lighter than the smaller iPhone 8 plus. The pen is made of primarily plastic, it doesn't add weight compared to something like a battery.
Also, the Note 8 has a pretty good battery stamina.
Lots of others has tried to make Note copies, the problem is, Samsung seems to have a nice exclusive with Wacom and they have over half a decade experience in building the device type.

Lol at the series of triggered posts from one triggered nobody. Stay frustrated.

A big successful company knows they can copy everything other smaller companies do, give it a fancy name and market it. The smaller companies work their ass off and actually bring something to the table.

Just because they are a big company people like you think they're the best. All their products are shit! Let alone phones. TVs, Washing Machines and anything they make. Please enlighten me on what they brought to the table other than two phones with elongated screens, that was already discovered ions ago.

No surprises here. The Note, which started this phablet market, was, is and will be the king. This poll shows how much fan love it has got even after the debacle of Note7. Notes really made a great use out of a big screen with its productivity software and tool, s-pen, which no other big screen phone could replicate. And not to mention, somehow Note's UI feel smoother than S series, thus making it always the best flagship from Samsung.

Rafe Firman, 26 Dec 2017Me think the reason behind Gsm Arena omitting Xperia XZ is ... moreThe empty bottle makes the loudest sound. Obviously, the fanatics want us to think xperias are still relevant when the features sony dish out are underwhelming, unimaginative, and overall unimpressive. Yet these fanatics make them out to be the godsend innovations of the century. Talk about desperation.

Me think the reason behind Gsm Arena omitting Xperia XZ is to keep the result snyc with reality check. Not non-sense Sony fanboyism who just vote but never buy.

If Sony get so much real love in the world, their financial situation wouldn't be so bleak now, woud they? Haha

No one uses it. No one knows how. No one cares, because no one can think of any scenario where using the S-Pen would be better than the regular phone. People who draw use tablets. Returned the Note 8 the minute I found out they shrunk its battery to make room for the S-Pen. So you pay more for the Note 8 than the identical (except for better battery life) S8+ just for the Pen??? No thanks.

They only know Samsung and iPhone, and they prefer android, so they vote Samsung. Even within Samsung, the S8+ is a much better phone due to the shrinking of the battery on the Note 8 to make room for the worthless S-Pen. All the specs and features are exactly the same except the S8+ has a bigger battery and costs less. And still they vote the Note 8...lol.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2017While Note 8 is great overall, my heart is with HTC U11+, O... moreThen you have never tried the Sony. Features sound amazing but it is the worst phone I have used in a decade. The so-called 4k display is not real and there is no option to set it that way. Even when I rooted the phone and managed to change that setting, the phone's specs could not handle it. It is as close to false advertising as you can get.

They still allow 4k videos to played (allegedly) but it's somehow worse than any other 4k display I have ever seen, and my galaxy's display of the same videos I played on the Sony was brighter and sharper.

Returned the garbage Sony within two days of trying it.

FreezeGame, 25 Dec 2017The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is definitely best in class here.... moreEverything you like and just mentioned about the Note 8 is also on the S8+, but you forgot to mention that the Note 8 has a much weaker battery and costs more than the S8+...because of the never-used S-Pen.

AnonD-24741, 26 Dec 2017Most redundant poll ever. Galaxy Note >>> none &... moreLiterally no one uses the S-Pen, and by having it there, they had to reduce the size of the battery, while using more power than the S8+. So it's a worse phone than the S8+, and costs more. And weighs more. I returned my Note 8 and got the S8+ instead. Samsung really needs to give up the whole S-pen. It's not that cool. If it was, other device makers would have tried to make their own pens.

I'm voting for the Nokia. Not just because of the phone, but because a brand that was DEAD for the last few years, made a huge comeback, and a good one at that. They didn't have any experience, but they made something highly competitive.
And I don't know why does the Note8 have so much votes - it doesn't have any features that jump out, in my eyes.
If anyone would enlighten me, I would appreciate.

Because manufacturer usually release dual flagship. Iphone X is bigger than iphone 8. S8 is smaller than S8 Plus or Note8. There not much option for compact phone is there?
