As u say Xiaomi need to lift their product to keep up with the rest. As for people knocking the second gen Nokia 6. From the specs I could find they are still using high end components (LPDDR4 1333MHz duel channel RAM) in a mid level phone and even managed to lower the price apparently.
This year is going to be great for mid and upper mid-range customers.

Nokia 6(2018), Sony XA 2, HTC U11 Life, Moto X4, Huawei #P Lite, etc. Xiaomi is going to be much cheaper then ~300$/€, but with all the big compabies now packing their phones with features at an affordable price, Xiaomi is gonna have to fight hard cause build quality won't be able to match these other brands. And! LG is going to reveal tomorrow or Tuesday the K 2018 Series, which I think will be a huge surprise considering no leaks have come out yet.

Google's camera is the best one even though it is a single camera. Obviously this is not going to be that good considering 1000$ and 230$ price difference. But can't people appreciate a good phone for once.This is a really good for considering it's price and specs.

Previous Nokia 6 global version had NFC which is Aluminium 6000 series but the Chinese version didn't. This one also will have it once it is released globally. Remember only the release of Chinese version took place.

Some people are not happy with the new nokia 6, they saw only pictures, you have to hold one in your hand and play with it and then you can complain, not before that, Nokia can not put everything in Nokia 6 what people want, because Nokia 9 will be the best phone. Nokia will be number one again.
