HTC tries too hard to innovate liek the sequeze feature but other OEM just does it better.
HTC should try not to innovate, bring us flagship devices with a oneplus price tag.
That's why oneplus is continuing to make progress and make higher income every year. Oneplus is making a big name for itself and is alread demonstrating it has the power to go against big timers like samsung for much less. Hell, even i have the oneplus 5T

As for U 11, whilst I don't own one, the reviews as a daily driver were excellent. Our business is still using HTC One A9. Classy, fast and beautiful to hold as it was one day one. No compelling reason to change yet. Keeping an eye on Nokia 9, Pixel 3 this year and HTC if a partly metal phone is in the offering.

Apple has no competition and is isolated in their iOS ecosystem compared to Android that has hundreds of them. What happened is they picked a different Android Phone just look at how Essential Flop even Razer barely known.

And I doubt Samsung would remove 3.5mm jack anytime soon, just look at the lash back of customers when they removed SD Card on the S6 w/c didnt sell well on its release.

Never again, unless they really switch up their game in some way.

                sad, but true... :)

After 7 yrs with 4 different HTC models, last year I have switched to stock Android with an upgraded CPU, better camera and less $$$ from Motorola

sorry HTC, but untill you revise the price / components policy, I'll stick to something else... ;)

htc, Kindly look below mentioned point.
Need to learn from below mentioned points.
                  1. removing of 3.5mm headphone jack is big mistake.
                  2. price should be in comparative level, majorly in asian country like india your htc device price is very high
                  3. Need to majorly focus in midrange device with price bracket of 10,000 to 20,000.
                  4. Improve your UI to stock android, If possible.

HTC deserves it. I thought they learned their lesson when they finally unveiled HTC 10.
But their next flagship was a disgrace to what the HTC 10 had established.

They should hire designers from Samsung IMO.
                      Poor designers U series. haha.

They dug their own grave, they make really awesome devices, I had 3 devices of them in a row and I considered buying the U11, but they need to understand that they can't price their items as apple and samsung, they are not in the same league, and they don't have the same market, no matter what they want.
their only (but really huge) mistake is the pricing, branding and marketing otherwise they could kill the medium market

A lot of other factors: availability, service support, past dissapointments (a LOT of people).

NOW HTC phones is upgrading, camera is brilliant now, decent battery, ungeneric design, and HTC strongest point: audio second to none.

I am always a fan boy of HTC for a long year. They need to revamp their marketing strategy and should follow footsteps of oneplus, the value for money. They should reduce cost of the product in spite of features. The Chinese firms are enjoying the fruit by adopting similar strategy. Market like India need quality products in affordable prices. I hope HTC would shines bright if they reduce the cost.

rafaelo, 08 Jan 2018i know why!! Before 9 years i bought the HTC Touch Pro for... moreSome geeks think he is master after bought a single HTC phone like 10 years ago then makes ecientific conclusion: ALL HTC phone are crap!

I'm HTC fans for life, tried motorola but 3 of their phones damaged internally when got bumped to car's door, dropped on floor: mics audio din't work, simcard fail to read, camera broken. No mlre mktorola for me because they seem strong kevlar build but the internal is fragile.
Not so with HTC, they survived many falls and beatings. But I KNOW which HTC devices to avoid by reading reviews and spec FIRST before making purchase.

                                      My list of HTC phones:
                                      - HTC Hero
                                      - HTC Desire
                                      - HTC sensation XL
                                      - HTC droid Incredible 2
                                      - HTC evo 4G LTE (Jewel)
                                      - HTC one M7
                                      - HTC one M7 dual sim
                                      - HTC one M8 harman/kardon*
                                      - HTC E8 dual sim
                                      - HTC 10*
                                      - HTC U11
*note: my daily drivers to date

List of HTC phones I deliberately avoided:
                                      - HTC one M9
                                      - HTC Desire midrange series: 816, etc
                                      - All others HTC midrange that uses Mediatek processor: HTC E8+, HTC X series.

I sold my U11 because I don't want to babbysit a phone. It works well, no crack or anything, I'm just scared my expensive phone damaged on my jeans pocket. Switch back to htc 10 to have a peace of mind.

My POINT is, don't stereotyping if you only have one or two phones! I'm entitled to say, not many people familiar experience wise with HTC like I do!
