        Alien , 10 Jan 2018Of course you're going to like OP more than that restricted... moreFinally home! OK here goes;

        1) steals your data: my understanding is that the data collected was related to app opening times and stuff. Not PII or NPI data in any way.
        2) the performance level as reported by the benchmark was actually available to users against certain conditions of daily use. So it is not like the numbers were false. Those numbers were indeed reflective of device performance. And before you go into: "oh, but that performance cannot be sustained". Well, even normal 100% performance cannot be sustained on a device (even a laptop) that is not actively cooled
        3) no SD slot. 128 GB is plenty for the buyers, it seems. And cheap too!
        4) updates: Oneplus needs to fix this. Agree. Their software update process is error prone too, with many updates pulled out

.alpha, 10 Jan 2018I'll stay with big companies like Apple, Google, HTC, SONY,... moreHTC: dying company.
LG: for real? after a massive chain of debacles you'd like to use their devices?!
          Apple: Ha! cuffs of gold.
Samsung: Phone amount released over 9001!!! (sometimes good sometimes bad)
Google: Nice decision. no storage expansion though.
I suggest using Huawei. or Xiaomi. if so.
          their UIs are pleasant.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2018HTC, a big company? Don't make me laugh.More a "Famous one". It's not on top of the chart. but every avarage person in my country can tell you there's a company called HTC. big one? I agree. Laughable to sadness.

Major updates and coming soon lol

Chinese companies does the same but for much lower price. A1 offers 4GB ram 64GB disk space and huge battery for just 200 or 220. For same price J5 2017 offers just 2GB ram and 16 GB diskspace and much slower CPU and GPU.
                  Do you need more comparision?

                          BUT, OP:
                          - steals your data
                          - cheats when benchmarks are performed so it scores higher
                          - has no SD card slot
                          - the updates are lazy af. It's still on 7.1.1
The ONLY good thing about OP WAS CyanoGenMod witch they ditched. If it wasn't for CyanoGenMod, people today would be OnePlus who?
People today still don't have a clue what OP is in Europe per example. I've asked my friends about it and they never heard of it before I told them.
Also, in my country the 5T costs 723 euro! That's almost as much as the Note 8!

I mean: looking from a 16:9 point of view.
S6 fix: Same resolution as SM-G906x)
S8 fix: Yeah. forgot submitting the details:
                                Originally 5.8incher. for a 16:9 you get just 5.2.
it has 2 variants. Snapdragon 835, and Exynos 8895.
Ram stays at 4 GB. camera stays 12.
and for the plus variant it'd be 6.2 and 3,500 mAh battery
(ignoring front camera. never mentioned across ages. but if I were to. it'd be:

                                and S8: 8MP)

                                  let's have a look Captain:
the S1 had a SINGLE CORE at 1 GHz, A8, Half a gig RAM, 4Inch display, 5MP camera, and 1500mAh battery...
S2 Doubled the cores, 2Cores at 1.2 GHz, A9, 1Gig of RAM, 4.3In display, Camera bump to 8MP, and battery humble gone to be 1650 mAh battery.
S3 Again, doubled to 4 Cores. this time at 1.4GHz, keeping Ram at 1GB, Display jumps to 4.8inches, Camera remains the same MP, but brighter aperature (2.6 to 2.4) and a Nice jump to 2100 mAh.
S4 gone Octa core. with a Quad core variant
the S4 was the first of SAMSUNG to introduce a dual cluster set. 1.6 GHz of A15, 4of them.and 4 more at 1.2 GHz, of A7. Mem grew to 2 GB. Screen went 5inch, camera got boosted to 13MP with 2.2f. and for a note. (no pun intended) the Snapdragon was blazing fast for it's time. dashing at 1.9 GHz, with Krait 300. aside of chipset. both phones were pretty much the same. (S4Ex =S4SD)
oh. and bettery again grew to 2600mAh.
S5 used two options as well. Exynos and snapdragon.
the Exynos version kept it octa. with 4 powerful 1.9 GHz A15 and 1.3 GHz A7.
Snapdragon went full speed at 2.5 GHz quad core. krait 450. (Based on A17 if I'm not mistaken). 2 GB of ram was kept for both. and there was an edition with 3 GB of ram.
screen is 5.1 and battery got another bump to 2800. camera rose to 16 MP.
S6 is the only decrease I see. but not in preformance.
S6 and his edge version kept lights on with some nice boost to A57 and 53. being clocked at 2.1 GHz for A57 and 1.5 For A53. memory grew to 3GB. screen kept the same. and the same resolution. with wider aperature. battery got hit though. to 2550 for flat and 2600 for edge.
S7 fixed stuff up with their arrival.
S7 kept screen at 5.1 and had 2 variants.
                                  snapdragon 820 (2x2.15+2x16) or Exynos8890 (4x2.3+4x1.6)
Memory grew to be 4 GB of ram. and the edge got a bump to 5.5 being the first flagship that is NOT a note to reach 5.5inches. from samsung family. battery got down to 12 MP. but with better low light preformance. and 3k for flat and 3.5k for edge.
S8 is finally where shit get's real:
the S8 keeping 16:9 is 5.2incher. with the same data as everything. but it was edge only
so you call that a no upgrade. think again!
