iPhone 6 takes massive performance hit after Spectre patch

CPU performance becomes significantly lower after installing the iOS 11.2.2 update.

They just put the iPhone 6 performace going from A72 dual core to just an A53 Dual core...

    lol at this problems, im not updating my device, no slow down still smooth like it was 2 years ago. im not gonna bite at this drama that will make you slow down your phone to have a new phone

            ummm perfect way to make a little more slower your old iphone.. maybe it's not just the meltdown hit maybe a little of Apple magic it's in this 40% reduction of performance.... just a thought

                I've updated to 11.2.2 and run geekbench 4, single core 1551 multi core 2659.
                Before update single core 1548, multicore 2657. battery still the original.

                  And wait if the Iphone 6 has a degraded battery and its performance has been throttled by the software would this update stack and make that 40% increase to around 60 ? Since if i remember correctly the degraded battery caused i think 20% reduction in performance.....
                  If thats what happening holy......... i dont even wanna make the apple joke here cause it WILL happen to otherphones too.....
