As others have said, how about giving US the choice in settings ?
It seems a bit stupid that an entire media industry has spent decades trying to give more band more accurate colour presentation which has now been hijacked so that colours now look totally inaccurate.
A good display should be almost indistinguishable from what you see looking at the same scene direct with the mark one human eye ball.
If you have a decent camera looking at your garden feeding a feed to your display, what you see on that display should match what you see if you stick yer head out of the window and look at exactly the same scene..

The s8 and note8 feature hdr10 compliant displays that blow other oleds out of the water. But if you're a fellow who prefers colors that are as bland as you are boring without the option to tweak them a bit, all you have to do is change the display setting.

The only simple way to solve this is manufactures should just provide options for saturated and desaturated Colors

Realistic. We don't like the crappy oversaturated screen of S8/Note 8.

You can ship OLED (or even LCD) displays with HDR-like punchy/vivid colours.
But leave an option in the Settings to calibrate it to accurate professional sRGB levels.
That way people will look any say "ooh shiny" and all the nerds and photographers will say "great, finally".

It's not impossible. And Samsung actually does something similar already on their Note4-S8.

Lol if i want accurate colors, i'll use my eyes. If i want a photograph with accurate colors, i'll use my dslr. It's funny how alleged "photography enthusiasts" use smartphones for taking pictures and then proceed to using filters and editing magic before showing off their final images. Hypocritical to the highest level. Besides, it's not as if photography is the main function of a smartphone.

My Z3 has option to calibrate the RGB level.
                      From 0 up to 255.
By default all Sony come set 0.

But when I set 255 for R, G and B colors dont change at all.
I just noticed the brightness decreases at least 50%.

All oled for mobile have active matrix, so all can be called amoled.

                        TV = lcd/ oled

The TVs called LED are LCD, backlit with LED.

MicroLED/ Crystal LED right now can only be used for giant screens, +100" . Industrial/ business use...

But... most users choose phone using eyes and hands, so if its color accurate And saturated its most likely to get bought. Then there is lcd / amoled / various oled / led. Not sure about feelings of true color, but infinite black is another world. Ideal for movies like pitch black,...

Warm colors are great for senses, its like colors in sunshine, of course it great but not for price of bad colors - meaning you can boost accurate screen to be saturated, but if you got inaccurate screen, is there a boost for true colors? not

Rarely anyone would say "oversaturated" over "accurate", but in real life everyone is STUNNED with saturated Samsung screens, while accurate ones are quite "meh".

Let's just say that color accurate is sometimes lifeless.
But doesn't mean I like overly saturated color, too.
And I have to agree with one of the editor (forgot his name) that the iPhones are good exception for color accuracy. I may not like what they're doing, but their screen color calibration excellence is unmatched.

Needed third item - Let me choose via settings. If I read websites or watching videos - saturated vivid colors are better. But when I'm editing photos - I need best color reproduction. That's really annoying when oem decided against me what's better for myself.
