no name1, 16 Jan 2018same old story n excuse here hahahahaha.... sad n sympathy ... moreAnd just think, they will charge you even more on the next generation of kit to pay off all the fines and compensation they are going to have to pay out over the "battery gate" issue and then the cases bought against them in France and other EU members..
The business of crapple is to keep that share price high, when that loses its appeal, crapple is dead, their kit sales won't save them, and they will tell any story or any lie to keep that share price up,its almost a ponzi scheme..

no name1, 16 Jan 2018same old story n excuse here hahahahaha.... sad n sympathy ... moreSame old story, crapple top price for old kit, updated regularly with flaky, bug ridden software and owners repeatedly lied to by crapple.
Poor snob sheeple, believe their own nonsense, but then they are meant to be "creative",not intelligent.
Check yer iTunes/crapple account in a few days time,I wonder if its as secure as your told it is ?
Own any crapple shares or are you just another idiot crapple fan "boy" troll who knows very little about how the kit they spout about really works ?
Crapple, started by a thief, built on theft and still making lots of money out of snob sheeple by theft..

So honor 8 lite will be getting oreo but not honor 8

no name1, 16 Jan 2018same old story n excuse here hahahahaha.... sad n sympathy ... moreOh yeah, cos with crapple, you get out of date kit, that is severely limited in capability, can you cut n paste yet on jesus phone ?
So you crapple owners pay over the top premium price for dated kit,"optimised" to only be able to run one OS and only one app at a time, said apps also cost you more than others equivalent product, even from the same company, but you get snob appeal,at a very high price, crapple lead you by the nose about one certain thing, like an pled display and charge you premium price, apple will then either "forget" or just simply lie to tell you that they cripple your pricey kit,and you trust them to tell you if they are ever hacked by a real non greedy pro that only asks for regular small amounts but who can prove they can repeatedly access products or services, imagine the hit that the share price would take if that ever leaked out or god forbid, crapple actually had to admit to in public, there is no such thing as a fully secure system or product,if one group of humans built it,another group or individual can reverse engineer it,you really believe your kit is totally 100% secure ? It may be harder than others to open, but it can be done.
Crapple is a financial company who happen to sell a bit of kit,the most vital part of the business is the share price, they could decide to stop selling electronics and sell coffee mugs instead,as long as folk believe that the share price would stay high for the future they could sell human sewage.
The most capable mobile phone yet built is now ten years old,can run any almost any os you can think of and was actauly a winmo 6.5 device, and costs about 120 still, wanna take a guess at what it is ?
Mine is an original version, has been abused all its life, didn't cost top price when new,yet is still going strong, its only problem is no 4g/lte,because nothing had it back then,it can boot into any one of about 50 android ROMs of all different generations, that I have on an SD card, selected from over a thousand ROMs written for it,it can also boot into and run windows x86 os up to 7,admittedly its slow, but it can do it,me,I like running XP(embedded),with a powered USB hub,you have a true mini PC in your pocket,a slow one,but it can do it,no piece of crapple kit will ever come close to having that kind of capability.
You don't always have to pay top price for top quality and very capable kit.
How does it feel making very lazy greedy folk even richer with your cash ?

This will be a huge fail for company like Huawei, if they made such poor excuse and let Honor 8 without Oreo update.
Hardware of Honor 8 can't be limitation. Higher CPU/GPU, more RAM/ROM etc.
For company that want to invade US market, this will be huge mistake. And not only US. All current Honor 8 users will be disappointed and maybe will never buy Huawei again.

wow, how can a phone released on 2016 has hardware limitation for an os that was released 2017. iphone 5 is still "usable" on ios 11 and it is much older.

Lol Honor 8 lite has inferior hardware but is in the list of getting Oreo update. Honor is not at all consistent in providing software updates because they release a lot of phones which are very confusing, for instance they've released Honor 9i , Honor 9 lite etc.

But in December Honor CEO George Zao said Honor 8 and 8pro will get Oreo update that already being tested. This could a big fail for Honor.
