PeterThePanda, 24 Jan 2018lol. Dash Charge =/= Quick Charge by Qualcomm. Quick Charge... moreLol. Peopke like you are always into stupid marketing. Watts are watts. Efficiency is efficiency. Internal battery resistance is internal battery resistance. Multiply these and you will overheat your battery undependable of tech way. Do you know reason to make voltage higher in QuickCharge? To limit current in standard cables. And provide maximum wattage. People are so uneducated.

Dashcharge1stingrave, 24 Jan 2018Go dash charge your battery into its grave then. Let's see ... morelol. Dash Charge =/= Quick Charge by Qualcomm. Quick Charge is the one that destroys the battery due to excessive heating because it focuses on Voltage (usually 9 volts). Dash Charge and other tech like Supercharge focuses on current (Amps) and keeps the heat inside the power brick itself, so the phone itself hardly heats up.

SpiritWolf, 23 Jan 2018Off topic of course but has anyone idea, will there be Tize... moreI personally hope that there will, as I would buy it myself if it was out. Both, Android and iOS are starting to stink if you know what I mean...

Man, with the wireless charging tech having been updated, I didn't touch a charging cable for years now, unless it's a power bank. Sure would be nice to have a bigger battery though, but 3000mah isn't bad.

15w charger for a 11w/h ~13w/h battery sounds about right, 1h charge or so, nothing that would damage the battery.
"there hasn't been much progress in this area lately" well, I don't blame them (actually commend) after the Note 7 fiasco, they playing it safe with batteries and that's what I want to see. I want my phones to be safe, and I can take some hours of charge (in this case, just ONE) if that means safe charge levels. Yes, there are high charge and discharge rate batteries, but it also ain't good on the battery anyway, they work with that, they can take the fast charge and discharge, but well, it's still taking it's toll on the durability over long therm.

Specially since they insist on the sealed battery thing (that did cost them the S7's complete recall instead of just disposing of the batteries affected and making new better ones), then it better last long enough. Phones are already disposable enough as they are.

The samsung s9 will be way ahead off apple at a lower price also i heard apple has decided to discontinue the iohone x because low sales.

The seal battery connector pins must be over 12 pieces.

Off topic of course but has anyone idea, will there be Tizen flagsip or not? I will never buy Android or iOs device... And Windows Phone is dead with Symbian. And Sailfish devices so far do not deliever camera.

Apple phones charges several hours because their batteries sucks and chargers as well i dont need to mention tht their cables breaking like matches. My customers almost every month comming to my shop for replacement via complain.
S9 will charge slow again like its precedessor.
Oukitel K10 have a 11 000 mAh battery and is capable to charge in 2 hours and 15 minutes from zero to 100% via their 5V/5A charger included in box with the phone. This is what i call a supercharger. And thats a china company which not many people know.

While I was upset when I found out my note 8 would be stuck on QC 2, after owning a phone with QC 3 (ZTE Axon 7), I was actually glad Samsung stuck to QC 2. My ZTE Axon 7's battery (which I QC overnight every night for some stupid reason) has deteriorated greatly as a result. There is a very noticeable decrease in the battery life while off charger and this has happened in the course of only a few months. I was very disappointed. And now only use QC when I need rapid power during the day on my note 8 (which is hardly ever) and only use standard charging overnight. I'd rather they choose battery integrity than super fast charging.

Hmm and there is this article about grapene batteries.. In hopes that note 10 comes with that.. So i can buy note 11..not going to change phones that fast

Definitely not to overstrain a battery, my S6 battery is still good as new, and charging from 0 to 100% within 1h 15 min is a good result, well it goes up on newer devices to 1h 30m but it is nowhere as slow as you could think
