Anonymous, 01 Feb 2018If you get Xiaomi - your privacy is at risk, that's why...LOL. And what makes you think Samsung is any better? All Android phones have no privacy anyway. So might as well save some money rather than paying $$$.
With how Google making money from all of our data, Google should be subsidizing all Android phones.

AnonD-125336, 31 Jan 2018i agree with you..appple is limitation champion,samsung has... moreBest xiaomi camera is mi note 3 ... and its on par with s8 camera for half of the price with even better selfie cam, i mean for 330 euros its amazing, great design, SD660 performs excelent in every possible game, better battery life and 2 gigs more ram than s8, for my taste even better design in blue variant with 128 GB for 400e But i would stay statisfied with 64 gigs if i need to choose between 2 phones :)

Anybody can predict this. Other than the Flagships, Samsung really is cutting corners at the mid-range to low end. The exynos chips used on the Galaxy A series are pathetic for the price Samsung is charging. Only the main Galaxy S lineup get decent chips. And at the low end, why would one want to buy crappy samsung when they can get a Xiaomi with much better hardware and for less.

The reason, Samsung is struggling at the low end, is that they have not brought out decent phones for that market. When they have high end phones such as the S8 and Note 8. They don't want lower end and mid-range phones to eat up into sales of their higher end phones.
I was thinking about a J series phone, but every years release is worse then the previous year's one. The only reason for the J series was the removable battery.
I don't mind a phone such as the Note 8, but it is very expensive and too big. They don't make a mid-range version of a stylus phone. Phones are very delicate. If they drop on the ground, the screen is broken....
I am thinking about a Sony, but I prefer Samsung's shape.....

"very expensive"..i have been using samsung for 8 years..but its over..no more overpriced gimmicks..xiaomi is not very well but makes cheap and good devices for daily usage..in my country (TURKEY) s8 plus is nearly 3350 TL AND A8 PLUS 2018 is 3300 TL !!! Sammy is running like hell ,but i dont know where :)) .. so,xiaomi deserves a chance,and will take it..

The truth is :
1. Samsung lead couse advertising,idk how many ppl buy phones couse specs,i would say about 15%
2.There are too many ppl who stays with samsung, if u consider that Xiaomi is relatively new.
3. Xiaomi isn't avalible in carrier shops or even offline in most of the countries, in Europe u must order it from ali or ebay, i see they starting share in italy romania spain, i hope same for France,Germany,Netherlands and other smaller countries... while Samsung is already everywhere.
4. US ppl i dont know why (at least most of them) thinking that chinese devices stole their data , look situation with huawei... dont consider that apple and samsung are MADE IN CHINA (iphone only designed in california )
5. but this maybe isn't a good reason : xiaomi doesnt have camera like samsung ... cameras arent worst but difference between LG,Samsung,Apple phones VS Xiaomi is about 20% camera quality on flagship grade. (that's only part that i dont like about xiaomi).
I wish that they can make a deal like huawei with leica or nokia with zeiss.
After these things change samsung will be in the dust , so if they keep it pricey better watch out.

Anyway what i said was true. Other brands like xiaomi dont need any advertising to sell their phones. Samsung without their promo and shows in TV cant sell even a nail not a whole product. Its price is also frustrating. Look at A8 series of this year.
They barely selling. Soon even a Samsung will have significant problem to stay in the phone market compared to much cheaper equal quality chinese phones.
by the way your Samsung is also made in china.

The S series was decent. Samsung has been too lethargic on low end devices. Maybe they'll release more, but right now there's only one J series device this year? I want to think they'll release more, but after they went ham on the J7 brand they oversaturated the market and ruined my perception. I'm also not sure of the fate of the A series of phones; is anything other than A8 being retired? Good; Samsung ruined the A8 anyway.

Samsung should loss in premium section soon because of tgeir horrible software adaptation. So call flagship note 8 still running on n. Idiot sammy lover dont argue that Samsung s n is better than o. We know is not.
