I don‘t think this is bad, it could improve the connection between the TVs and phones and cameras and create kind-of an ecosystem like Samsung has, of course not as far as Apple goes but still a bit.

My Xperia Z3+ overheat issue,
headphone jack notification issue,
network delay issue (while playing online game).
the only thing I feel sony phone good is, its screen recording (it able record all sound thru it mic),
and new model of xperia with slowmotion 720p 960fps (no audio).

If Sony's mobile division still can't make some serious profit after shuffling around all these execs then they're going out of business or selling it to the Chinese for sure.

guys please have in mind that shitty lawsuit between apple and samsung. the reasons of it. Sony kept everything indoors and like another dude said in previous comment,SONY IS ORIGINAL AND THEY KEEP DOING THEIR STUFF. We pay more money for the brand than for the product itself. I use to use samsung many years many, good models and they all failed me. lagging,freezed image and other few problems. but sony...no matter how hard i play or how far i pushed the phone limits,still working as good as new,no heating when gaming on it.battery also amazing even tho xa users said that the battery kinda sux. Camera i dont care since i dont do photos. No minus to sony for phones. Have a nice day guys

Lol samsung cant keep up with sony's tech. Also, iPhone X's AR effect and predictive auto focus? Which sony has for YEARS.

[deleted post]Haha. So true. I've been using Sony (phone, tv..) for years and no planning on using other brands. Sony doesn't really give a f*ck when it comes to advertising and competitions. They just do their own thing and has their own originality, which i really love.
Those korean & chinese brands are confusing, almost all of their design are the same. Either copying apple/samsung.

Oled screen. That is the only thing missing Sony's spec. 18/16:9 ratio doesn't matter. Their software is best after all. It keeps all aosp functionality while more stable and efficient than pixel/nexus.

sony's mobile department is just a tiny mosquito compared to other big giants company like samsung, apple, huawei, and others. those companies are rival to each other. but they dont see sony as their competitor. for them.. sony is just a "meh".

Sony don't follow the trends so people have chance to trolling again and again. Maybe not, if Sony follow the trends or even bring out the latest technology, the competitors still can trolling, anyone can tell me why they aren't going to think positive but negative to Sony?! Two word: Afraid.

Yoshida will do a great job, he is know in SONY to be one of the better people they have and he has allready doen alot of good things with different parts of the company, imo the future looks great for sony

People tend to hate Kaz Hirai as a CEO but also tend to forget that, despite selling quite a few of Sony's subsidiaries like VAIO and Creative Software, thanks to him the company made almost a complete 180 and went from bleeding money in 2008-2012 to having some of its best years income-wise now. It is, however, a shame that now the company really is only *truly* known for its PlayStation gaming consoles, and *maybe* its Bravia and Xperia systems, but not for anything else. Kaz Hirai did a great job on bringing the company back from nearly dying, the new CEO should now focus on bringing back key brands like VAIO and maybe even introduce newer brands, as well focus on marketing Sony as a great brand, and not a forgotten one, or one only known for PlayStation.
Big Sony fan here, lol.
