Laurynas, 29 Jul 2011I think that Samsung will moves to the first place, because... moreI think so too. The unlikely scenario will be Apple to hold on to number 1 IF they release a cheap iPhone for prepaid, move the 4 to mid end, and have the 5 on high end. Let's wait and see.

Also need to remember that SAMSUNG is famous because SAMSUNG Electronics is the world's largest technology company by sales.

      Apple: 20.3 - 8.4 = 11.9

      Samsung: 19.2 - 3.1 = 16.1

      16.1 (Samsung) > 11.9 (Apple)

That's mean Samsung moves faster than Apple and need to remember that Samsung Galaxy II is still not availible in America.

I'm afraid Nokia will be 4th on the next quarter. The N9 MeeGo device won't be able to do much and is DOA. I won't be too surprised if HTC moves to 3rd place. It seems like Nokia can't turn the tide and is losing more and more smartphone marketshare with each passing quarter. It's like people are moving away from Nokia and Symbian. Is Android and iOS really that good and superior? It's hard to believe that industry newbies like Apple and Google came up with something superior while Nokia, who's in the business for a long time is having a hard time competing.

I'm blaming the previous CEO for Nokia's problems. That CEO ruined Nokia and I hope Elop can turn things around and reclaim the smartphone throne back.

I can't wait for Android's downfall and for WP's rise.

Barbaric girl, 29 Jul 2011Every Samsung screen comes from Phillips!By 2004 Samsung was the world's largest OLED manufacturer, producing 40% of the OLED displays made in the world and as of 2010 has a 98% share of the global AMOLED market. Also "Super AMOLED" is trademark of Samsung.

And you think that Samsung's screens comes from Philips...

Anonymous, 29 Jul 2011No it's not. Samsung samoled screens are the most efficient I was referring to resolution not efficiency and still, i doubt they would be that much efficient. There's not much further you can go from zero which is oleds power consumption for a black image.

Plus display efficiency is just stats and marketing stunts. It doesn't really concern the user. what concerns the user is how that relates to real life usage. The nokia n9 and c6-01 sport better displays than the galaxy sII.

Wait till Q3, it'll be: Apple, Samsung, HTC.

Nokia is finished for sure, WP7 will only sink them faster.

Android will come down in price and bury the already dead Symbian.

Their only saviour was the N9 MeeGo and they killed that phone, themselves, lol.

All this downfall as happened since Mr Elop announced on Febuary 11th that "Symbian is Dead" an the switch to is old company Microsoft with Windows,so no more operators interested in selling Symbian phones, an its been happening for years at Nokia with its Smartphones its takes them ages to produce an release them an can not stand competition from Apple an Samsung,Nokia always promise things but it takes them so long to Forefill its promises people have got so feed up with Nokia an bought a alterenative mobile, just look at Nokia now with the Anna update we were promised this ages ago but still no sign of it being made available to update the Symbian3 phones so loads more leaving Nokia,an if they keep acting like they are with there Windows phones its going to more Gloom an Doom for Nokia,All there own Fault thinking any mobile they could produce would be succesful,Why? have we had to wait for ages for Nokia to compete the iPhone or Galaxy mobiles, the N9 might be o.k but at First Mr Elop said it would not support Mango, but then changed is descision an will support the N9
