Anonymous, 01 Aug 2011DO NOT BUY MEEGO will go to the dump once WP7 is released!I don't know about that. Symbian^3 is being supported officially by Nokia at least until 2016. MeeGo has a good chance of living pretty well. WP7 is just the cash cow. Symbian^3 and MeeGo the Pets. Like Robert Rodrigez, you've got to make the kids movies that SELL SELL SELL, so you can afford to make the real ones. WP7 is Spy Kids, MeeGo is Machete.

it may look good, design wise, but htc, samsung and iphone have better design and have better support for their OS unlike nokia which publicly is telling everyone that symbian and meego will not be supported in the long run. why bother buying a nokia phone right now when the people at nokia like elop no longer trust their own OS?

DO NOT BUY THE N9!
There will be no support, no apps, no services, NOTHING!
This phone is DEAD! Nokia will not support it, at all, there won't be updates, don't be fooled(again) by Nokia's lies...
Nokia is an incomptent lying company that does not care about their customers and they'll lie in commercials and directly to their customers to get you to buy their garbage.
Get an Android or the iPhone instead.
Now you've been warned, if you still are foolish enough to go ahead and buy the N9 don't come crying here saying you've been cheated, remember, you got warned!

Guys, don't waste too much time about support for coming years. There will surely be at least a few bugfixes, which ensure the awesone usage, at least until you buy the next generation.

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2011lol hilarious reading right here folks.
Nokia is like Ap... moreYou are right, I just bought an S2 (actually I got rid of my iPhone 4). My iPhone was OK, but very restrictive for me.
I needed something better to handle business & pleasure and the S2 is a rocket!!!
Much as I was attracted to the N9, the support you need after dishing out such large sums is hard and software. I travel plenty, so buying a product that has peace of mind globally is necessary. Nokia seemed to have offered this item in selected markets only. Sigh.....a last breath of ingenuity before, eventually, MS gives them life-support. Sorry, but W7 or whatever is rubbish and a resource hungry monster that is doomed. Personally I hate it as much as W6! W7 sales projections for this year have been massively (and intentionally) misstated.
Android and iOS are the only guys at the party. Samsung and Apple are the guys popping the Champagne.....and for good reason!

Girda girda, 01 Aug 2011What is the point in buying something that has no support? ... moreAnd where did you read it has no support? How many times does it have to be said that nokia plans to support this device for at least 3years. Heck they are still part of the meego team.

I am in the UK, and I fully intend to lay my hands on an N9.
Even with Mango, WP7 is just not going to cut the mustard on a Nokia handset - it will feel ham-strung in comparison to the versatility of Symbian
