I think it's Windows 98 with 3 GHz CPU. No matter how much ram, CPU & GPU power you have.It will run slowly with lag because it's Windows 98(Symbian), a 1 GHz P-III CPU or a 3 GHz P-IV CPU does not make any differance to this DUMB OS(Symbian).

Game over! game over man!.... pfttt notice how gaming on the Galaxy S II is smoother, even a simple render such as the car rotating in the garage the Galaxy S II is much smoother meaning a higher frame rate.

Sun Down, 03 Aug 2011I'm guessing by old Symbian phones you meant the S40 or S60... moreIt was an N97. I was considering upgrading to the E7. What I saw from the N8 did not impress me, so I got an HTC Desire Z instead and am very happy with it. I still follow the Nokia devices and so far I haven't seen anything from Nokia that impressed me more than the Desire Z. The N9 is interesting, but not more impressive than my current phone as a whole.

And they definitely can't reach out to everyone in the market to buy their favorite brand phones. What's really suppressing Nokia is their inability to produce competitive products past few quarters.

To be honest I'm too upset with my Nokia N8 experience even I'm was Nokia fan boy from a 1998 year. Photos quality too it's not impressing my wish. Just good quality from close range or for self portrait unfortunately others photos (panoramic view) it's bad quality and don't like them. Phone freezing still exist and not fixed even on Symbian 3 version. Phone already so many times switching off... . This my comment was honest and don't judge me for my opinion and bad experience with Nokia phones brand.

They put a 1Ghz processor, without GPU? no way they can't just do that! Or if it has a separate gpu, then it's just true: Symbian sucks really hard!!

So far, I haven't seen anything from Nokia that really impressed me and the Nokia 500 is no exception. The N9 is interesting, but I haven't seen anything from it that would make me want it over my current phone.
