Fruitcake, 02 Aug 2011Nokia did not go Android because the Batterylife on Androi... moreActualy no it was not because of batery life that Nokia did not choose Android. It was because
A)Elop is a Microsoft guy and
B)They wanted to be original and not hop on the Android bandwaggon like every other manufacturer. And besides in the latest versions of Android batery life is greately improved

Symbian is the best we all know that I don't like the sound of WP7 or look of at all.
I run a x3 touch and type and it is fluid in every way.

Nokia did not go Android because the Batterylife on Android is Totally Rubbish an would have got Nokia in more trouble,We want to see what the First Windows phone an Features on it,hope its like the N9 with no buttons but we might get this type of phone if Nokia is pleased with Windows,Android phones might look o.k but its the cost of the phone an running it thats got be sorted out before its more succesful.so Nokia will like Windows to be like Symbian an last longer on Batteries

me, 02 Aug 2011I really i cannot fathom Nokia's market strategy.
Firs... moreWP7 is better in many ways than Meego or Symbian...
Is more reliable, more extensive market, more developers, better software, more support, more speedier, better Web Experience among others...
Just remember Meego is just a nice experiment for Nokia, but with not future for them....
Thos "Limitations" arent true at all...maybe for Nokias and I don't think this will be forever, for example the Samsung Focus indeed is WP7 phone and has MicroSD Slot and FM Radio....Bluetooth transfer can be done with software and the camera is not a limitation for any one, they can put a 12 MPx on Premium W Series with FM Transfer and other goodies.....
No argue here...

I really i cannot fathom Nokia's market strategy.
First they announced their move to WP7 without any actual product ready to market which imho is a very risky move and then they went on a release frenzy of a series of Symbian^3 phones and a new MeeGo phone which were EOL'd from the day of the Nokia-Microsoft announcement.
Now rumors have it that the new sea-ray model will luck in functionality compared to it's symbian and MeeGoo predecessors and of course the rest of the smartphone competition.
So far I've gathered that the new WP7 Nokia phone will not score a front facing camera which i found quite odd. What about Skype? Doesn't Microsoft currently own Skype?
Other features that have been scraped are: USB on the go, micro SD port, radio transmitter, usb client mode (if you own a car equipped with a usb port you wont be able to play the music stored in your Nokia WP7 phone), No 12 MP camera etc...
I own a Nokia N8. Why should I upgrade to a Nokia WP7?

AnonD-252, 02 Aug 2011I see you are a blind Nokia-fan, or probably a Nokia-employ... moreWell
HTC, Samsung, LG, Acer, Toshiba, Nokia, Huawei, Sharp , Nec, Palm, BenQ, Motorola, Sony Ericsson HP, Dell among other little companies even the chinesse clones are planning use the new WP7 Mango for their phones..
Microsoft already release licences for every one that is interested on makin WP7 phones...and beliveme they start making some of them...and this is just the beginning
And the next generation of WP7 phones aren't crappy or old....there are plenty of new concepts for WP7 Mango...so I will be carefull on the words you use for all those manufacturers...
Android can't be on top forever, in fact even Apple has better profits than Android (Even if Android uses thousands of manufacturers for their OS and Apple is just Apple)
More amazing, Apple has more money than the US Goverment LoL...
So, I will be not confident on Android dominance on the Market....

[deleted post]I see you are a blind Nokia-fan, or probably a Nokia-employee, that think anything made by Nokia is the best in the world. Fact is that a majority of potential buyers for the very expensive WP7, apps are more expensive than even the same apps are for IPhone, want an IPhone or an Android, almost nobody but the most hardcore blind Nokia-fans want a Nokia-WP7, and very few want any WP7 at all by Samsung or HTC..., but almost any of all Android-users would love to buy an Android-phone made by Nokia. Choosing WP7 not Android is probably one of historys most stupid choices ever made by any company!
So you now think WP7 is the best OS in the world, not MeeGo or Symbian, this make me think you actually are a Nokia-employee not just a Nokia-fan?!

Ashura, 02 Aug 2011Xbox games on a mobile phone...it would take a REALY powerf... morei can say that would be a bloody job to do that but, it's nokia and windows, both big companies, companies that want to go on the top of smartphones..xbox's arcade games can be a step ahead, and xperia play has lower graphics and gaming performance than a psp..that would be quite a match..if nokia would do a xbox phone, that would be great :D

nokia's WP7 phone should compete with SE's Xperia Play..i mean, put XBOX games on nokia winphone, it will be an eye catcher for xbox fans, and also nokia mobile phone fans..i think they should give it a try to boost nokia wp7 some more power, cpu, gpu, video card and battery backup then put the xbox cores..then viola, a new NOKIA 360 phone :)

Android fanboys on here have never touched a Mango phone so their arguments over it are irrelevant.
