My HTC ONE XL screen would not respond no matter what I tried. I went to switch it off again, then noticed the option to restart. This warned that this would close all apps etc. Once I pressed RESTART

I too have the same intermittent unresponsive touchscreen issue.Its so frustrating that I cannot receive calls and the words are misspelled while typing in the keyboard.Its a bad experience I had with HTC Sensation.
since today i will let the ppl not to take HTC

i have a beautiful samsung s3 with a working touchscreen and i find it absolutely hilarious how people who possess the HTC SENSATION XL have to deal with such an error.... Perhaps HTC should change its name to HMS: HAPPY MAN SOON!

htc sensation xl. same problem. touch screen has not been working. maybe maximum 5minutes altogether per week its been working. its been like this for the past 4 weeks now. this is atrocious. ridiculous. im sick of this!!!i am extremely frustrated and angry right now.
P.S. my touch screen would also act erractically every now and then before this problem of now not being able to work at all occured. i am infuriated! it seems that alot of people have this problem and yet nothing is being done about it. SHAME ON YOU HTC!

I understand this is very old thread but I have the same problem with my sensation xe, has anyone found a permanent fix to this yet? At the moment my phone freezes completely and taking the battery out doesn't fix it, also the date changes itself to 2/1/1970 (weird right?), plugging it in to my computer however completely fixes it for a limited time which at the moment is around 24hrs but it is still really inconvenient if you're out and about, hope someone can help

My Sensation has now developed erratic responses to touch input. This is in addition to a camera blur fault. Third handset in 16 months....

hey guys,
i am using HTC Incredible S and i have problem more than this in touchscreen. i hope its some software related issue coz sometimes it works and sometimes not. if that was a HW prob. it should not work permanently. but it works occasionally. its too strange...... please help for this problem.

well i guess i'm not the only one..... my first sensation had wifi issues my second had touchscreen issues that drove me nuts..... i'm done with htc man... i suggest everyone does same

Hi, I need some help and advise. My HTC Sensation XL keeps on freezing after about 5 seconds / mins i dont used it. The only way i can get the phone to work is by taking out the battery and putting it back in and also when i charge it through my laptop. If i am using it does not freeze, but as soon as i stop using it it freezes.

My HTC Sensation touchscreen is completely locked up. I have tried everything to resolve this, but with no success. Very frustrated!!

My HTC Sensation is doing exactly the same - I tried to get to the bottom of it, and checked that the earth pin inside is making good contact with the case, which it is, and then turned on the show touches option in the Develop option - this shows that the screen is sensing 3 or more phantom touches when it is suffering from this problem - it looks to me like a software issue, as pressing the lock button twice often clears it

My HTC sensation touchscreen is freezing when I try to end a call resulting in me getting charged for 2 to 3 minutes more than I should be. I sometimes have to switch the phone off to end a call...it is very frustrating and costly...what are my options??
