Hekato Jr., 13 Feb 2018So called for innovation and leading in market examples.
P... moreApart from screen tech (and even there they are relatively slow at this point) samsung phones are following for years.
Some of the least battery size for the total device size last year. Relatively small BtS ratio if you do not include the curves (as they are not usable parts of the phone). Least amount of apps in bacgkound (not having to reload) last year. Camera that left a lot to desire. S8 was a soft phone that had a heavy name. Samsung of late has nothing to do with Samsung of old (came loaded in everything, first to market concepts and often marketted them well, etc).

Don’t think so under-display fingerprint it’s an good idea especially with Amoled panels due to the burn in.

Spike1, 14 Feb 2018So why is it working for Vivo while the rest are struggling?I'm pretty sure that it's not working so good that's why it's still not on other phones.

If I can find that comment I made 2 years ago on YouTube saying that Samsung will put that in the S10 or note 10.

Ah that's a shame. But then again, an under display sensor still will not have been a reason to upgrade from the note8.

Typical Sammy fans. There were the ones swearing that they are going get S9 or Note 9 since Sammy is going to be the first to implement the underdisplay FPS. But now that vivo did it first here they are claiming " I don't see the need for this feature anyway, iris/face scanner is the best thing since slice bread" while at the same time claiming Apple's face scanner is a useless feature.
Fanboys!, Just be true to yourself and admit that you will buy any expansive shiny thing with a Sammy Logo instead saying stuff like " I prefer Samsung phones because they are more durable". LOL. if you think the glass Note 8 can be used for a longer period than the Note 4 or the Metal OnePlus, then you must be deluded.

viveksubhash, 14 Feb 2018How about a side mounted fps like sonyThis is the worst placement. It is very inaccurate because it is small. Sony fps failed many times just to unlock 1 time. When you use cover, this situation got worsen. I have xz premium and it has fingerprint scanner but I never use because it fails so many times everytime I try to unlock. The worst fps I ever used.
