My S8 already updated. I dont find any issues but i dont find any upgrades either. Maybe on the settings and phonebook ui. Otherwise it is as good as nothing. This is not like from GB to ICS update. It was significant. I still like ICS UI better. From Lolipop onwards to Oreo. Its almost useless for a normal user. The UI of these androids does not really change anymore. Its boring. Its outdated. Its no smoother nor worst. Its the same with a different built number.

It's in general Oreo has issues with stability, all major brands had issues updating from Nougut to Oreo, that's why Essential skipped it and even mentioned that Oreo 8.0 is not stable and moves straight to 8.1. Google messed it up

I know what the bug is: Freezing the update until the S9 launches since it doesn't offer pretty much anything new!

Using samsung for a long time all there flagship phones but when it comes to update they are realy slow than other makers. And Samsung's biggest issue when the fone is new it runs fast smooth and u love it when using it for 4 , 5 months after that it going to slows down , stucking issue . sold my s8+ it also slows its processes and you need to restart phone once in a week, Sold it and buy for the first time Sony XZP . its really fast updates come almost every month . and running really smooth and fast .

Shootergod, 16 Feb 2018well dear, the skin of Sony has nothing much to offer with ... moreAnd that's the problem. Too heavy software.
Samsung Software Team includes features for the sake of having them first.
Google's native Split Screen Mode allows much more apps to work than Samsung's own implementation.
PIP Mode works much faster (I remember doing that on the S8+ in retail stores and it was slow as heck, at least compared to the XZ Premium on Android Oreo).
