By the way, Apple themselves just got sued for fast boot up patents used in MacBook Air, you don't hear people going "OMG! Bully!" etc do you?
I don't get it, these companies have been suing each other for ages, dunno what the big deal is. Probably the new generation of Samsung fans, who are apparently even more brainwashed than the iSheep they make fun of lol.

Samsung make better tablets and phones than Apple, but instead of trying too make even better products Apple try to bully any company that produce better products than Apple!
I will never ever buy anything from Apple, and I try to avoid buying anything from Microsoft, and that will include any phone made by Microsoft new "puppet" Nokia!
Apple is worse than even Microsoft ever was, but now that Microsoft have given so much money to Nokia that they can demand Nokia to do almost anything Microsft want (like not supporting MeeGo and not making any more Meegos after N9...) we will probably soon see gigantic battles in courts between Apple and Nokia/Microsoft all over the world!

I mean, it's basically a screen with a frame around it, I don't how it could be much different.
I'm industrial designer and I know that with this, you don't have much choice, and you must follow the trends - look at the LCD TV/monitor market - they all look the same, with minor exceptions in exotic product that are not in trend but adding some other and uneccesary features in shape. Should they sue each other then?
This is obviously Apple's way of eliminating the competition. I must however confess that the very concept of tablet as we know it now is made by Apple. But they don't own rights to make framed LCD displays, and they can't take credits for introducing tablet concept in general, because they have been introduced first time in 2001 by Microsoft...
I also have to confess, although I agree with Samusng in this one, that they are basically copycats. It's fascinating that a company like that with all those technologies and money can't figure something for themselves. Galaxy S is truly an iPhone copy, and S2 is only an evolutionary step from it that naturaly differentiated from S.

Read this before you accuse someone of a false crime. Like I have pointed many times before, the courts would have dismissed Apple's claims if there were no plagiarism involved on Samsung's part. The reason why this is still ongoing is that there IS plagiarism involved whether most people would accept it or not.
Samsung HAS previously infringed the intellectual properties of other companies and manufacturers before and I daresay, even at present. Whats the difference between the rest and Apple? Apple DID something about it.

I'm glad these companies are going after the worlds biggest copying machine (samsung) finally. Besides - the Galaxay Tab isn't anything special. They don't sell very well overall. They are at best - average.

When you consider the fact that the iPhone sells more than any single android device (by a landslide), Apple is doing just fine in the mobile space and will continue to do well. What it IS about is patents and Samsung copying everybody with next to no original ideas of their own. They are indeed way too big to get away with the whole chinese copy game.

In this matter i support Apple though ,
i use galaxy s2 , and i saw galaxy s1 from a friend which almost captured the feel of the iphone 3GS/iPhone 3G while holding it but it was somewhat different feel to iPhone 3GS because of some minute changes and software .
and Galaxy s2 is not even comparable to iphone because its thinner and also bigger size and also cool plastic-light-weight-body with removable bettery and SD-slot which is completely different feel from iPhones .
but galaxy tab omg even packaging also very similar and also its design is so near to the look and feel of iPad . galaxy tab looks exactly like negative-film of a photograph (iPad) where only colours are different but picture is same .
but i accept that galaxy tab is superior in many ways with better cameras , thinner etc and android improved like a lot compared to last year with better apps ad better services and features .
and i honestly love galaxy tab but what apple did is not bad move because they have patent of it and its legally apple's right to protect their design and property from being used without permissions/royalties.

Just like you are free to make a car, just don't copy Porsche or a watch just don't copy Rolex.
Samsung are to big to get away with the cheap Asian copy game.
