There is sth, strange here. Why do GSMArena when refer to people who could buy Sony phones say "fans"? If a fan is particular person related to sth (specialy). Do you (GSMarena) mean that only those who are in this situation could buy Sony product? If yes, i shame on you, because i think that in your job, the important is to take the information in an independent way to the people, not to lead them to sth specific (like on behalf of sth) and underrate another one. Sorry, but this is my opinion, if you can understand me...

Even my old Z3 don't lag with 3GB ram. So 6GB ram is really enough. Sony will beat all flagships. Wait and see.

Well, if you're not blind by the fanboy love about ... morenope, i'm not commiting in a single brand, and i use the X a lot, and it's a great midranger, if you mean occasional lag, i kid you not, other brand also suffer it, no need to mention samsung, even oneplus 3T suffer it with 6GB of ram,
even nokia with stock android suffer from it
so, i don't think RAM is the culprit here, one can open a lot of app in background and still breeze through

I am using a Sony Xperia XZ(forest blue, DS) running on Oreo. Dude, we all know(I mean, the whole world knows) there is no app currently on playstore this phone can't run smoothly.
I see how you easily called yourself a fan to bribe(shut up) people who would probably tackle you. Then you went ahead to reffer to some other guy as a blind fanboy. Plus you are trying very hard to sound "sciency" with all the 2.xx ram, 2.9ram 2xx bla bla bs and your made up xperience.

People(tech site, others) just tackle sony for no particular reason but if you've been alive you should have noticed that all the hate crusade had always been about design desing design... some few for camera heat. After playing games for 30 minutes, it overheats and CPU throttles and game lags horribly. I havn't seen in other phones. Even 5 year old phones from sammy or htc play well.

2years ago moto zforce 4gb of RAM defeat note7 & 1+5 (only 720p of screen) with 6RAM, in english zforce push heavy load but still win even smaller RAM

I'm Not say that Xperia lag all the time, but it doesn't lag from time to time ( and you'll see that more often after games, and of course it wasn't much better while you're playing game, especially the few that I've mentioned it earlier) Xperia phone take 2.xx ram to just run the phone while it is only 3GB of RAM ( actually 2.9x RAM as the phone show)!
Unless you're not doing a lot with Sony xperia phones, that would be fine and the you wouldn't have much of problem with ram and other stuffs! Otherwise, if you're playing game while someone send you a video call, your phone might frozen or even restart itself.
Try this games to see, kritika, HIT, lineage 2, dynasty warrior unleashed, especially final fantasy XV pocket edition.

I quite like the minimal bezels, it distinguishes from all other phones. Think, if all phones go all screen and zero bezels, how do you tell them apart! This is a unique identifier. However, I'll pass as I take exception to the removal of 3.5mm jack on any phone plus FHD is a backward step should 1440p at least! Will wait for the Premium, if there is one....and perhaps think again!

As a xperia user for years, this is a good news for once. Like seriously, Sony have been doing pretty bad on their RAM department! I've been using Sony's phone since Sony Ericsson still exist( but a budget phone of course and it was crappy), until later on the Xperia Z1s (T-Mobile), then Xperia Z3 ( also T-Mobile, this one was great), and now the Xperia XZ. I have to say that Sony with their low RAM Hi-end phone are bad.
A few things that a Xperia phones are bad is low RAM, low internal memory ( yes, there is SD card slot, but internal memory low will make the phone slow, and since the RAM are low, 2.xx ram to run the phone without any games running. And then it is only 3GB of ram for these hi-end phones that I've mentioned !)
Low RAM make Xperia phones laggy, low internal memory also does the samething to it. And let's not forget that you can't use your xperia camera during a summer day, hot day, sunny day, or directly under sun light.
Don't mistaken that I'm a Sony hater or anything like that. But Sony really needs to step up their game on the mobile department, like seriously!
Pure Android good like ( Android one ROM), and some other are also using it now ( Nokia, Razer phone). But I still prefer the Sony skin with the close to stock Android thing. Maybe because I've got used to it, so I just wish Sony can put more ram to their phones, and fix the easily overheat camera as well as the phone.
Sony xperia phone can't even run the new final fantasy game smoothly ( the front XV pocket edition ), as well as other top game like HIT, Kritika, lineage 2, Dynasty Warrior etc!
