Yet again a sponsored articles and reports by Apple, and of course brainwashed people who thinks that only iPhones exists and that they are the best phones having the best cameras.

German Tech site did a blind review with:
HTC U11 / HTC U11 Plus
Samsung Galaxy Note 8
LG V30
Google Pixel 2 / Google Pixel 2 XL
Huawei Mate 10 Pro / Huawei Mate 10
Apple iPhone X / iPhone 8 Plus
OnePlus 5T
And that was far more realistic than the paid report from Cosumer Report. Btw good Job guys. You can choose yourself which phone camera fits you best.

How small is their world. Comparing just part of devices without practical use. Others go for no-blur shots, meaning they use 1/10 up while apple use 1/5. Also to use old S8 now that S9 is out... how shameful. Samsung is also not the sharpest shooter(at least S8+under).
Pixel2/U11/XZ line can do way better in sharpness or noise, even xperias downscaled to 12 are sharper and less noisy. Considering their yellowish tone of pics(iphoneX), wonder how that is close to reality. I would believe more in sony output since it use color spectrum sensor. Its also one of useless conditions for comparison, as most of users go for feeling they get from photo, the warmer the better(of course with some limit).
Great way to disinform people.

The Gold standard in Camera testing, DXO Labs tests the S9 and these are the Results:
1. The S9 has THE Best quality photos in any smartphone, Barring None.
2. Though for video, it's a different story. There are issues with fringing and moiré and lots of artefacts. And stabilisation could certainly be better.

As an OP3T owner I must say that iPhone 8 Plus camera was very impressive when I compared two phones in real life conditions. And it was a hard environment - mountains, lots of snow, white balance going off etc. I don't know about competitors listed in the rating but 8 plus has very good camera.

Consumers Report blatantly lies. Apart from iPhone X, I had most of those phones to play with for at least 1 month. Pixels are number one. And I don't care about programming / post-processing ets. Google pictures are just better in all aspects, that's it. That's for sure. Galaxy S8 camera is comparable with iPhone 6s but looks pale in front of outdated Nexus 6P!

Looks like a sales report rather than a smartphone report.
People who have invested that much money in an iPhone X would obviously be a lill more keen on posting their feedback (iPhone users in general )
Pixel sales numbers come no where near to the mentioned devices hence the feedback would be equally skewed.
Pixel 2 completely outshines any other device in this department , I can say that without a shade of doubt.

Hmm, most people who know anything about imaging reckon that last year's HTCs beat the Samsungs in the camera stakes, never mind the Pixels.
I suspect the methodology included choosing which phones to compare, either arbitrarily or based on sales figures from some carrier or other.
