5 months after G4 Play Nougat update rollout announced, still waiting. ..
Motorola seems to have worst possible support; once they have sold you a phone and taken your money they don't care

What we're saying is a) you can find better phones for the same price and b) their marketing, after sales included, need to be basically re-done from scratch.

Trash midrange phone selling for flagship phone price and you'd need to add battery and camera and cannot have both at the same time

I want another one or two generations of Z phones so that I can continue using my style shells for years to come. Hehe

This Article here is pure bull and the commenters below are just going with the flow of this bull its obvious they are reducing their staff in USA because they want to reduce their expenses it extremely expensive to maintain manpower in the US as the wages structure is extremely high when compared to China or India hence why would a company spend excess money on staff in USA When they can save all the money considering the manpower in other countries is on par or in some cases much better than the US.

Most Of the Companies today in the silicon valley are headed by Indians or Chinese so whats the use of hiring these people in US for Exorbitant wages when they can hired in their own country for 1/4th of the Wage

That's what companies like Huawei and Xiaomi do and are successful their whole base of Manufacture and R&D is in china and most of their workers are predominantly chinese hence low wage rates and more profit. Lenovo is doing the same here

Motorola Recently expanded their Indian offline stores to more than 100 and they are doing extremly well in sales last year they also posted a healty profit.

Why Would they even spend on offline expansion if they were going to wind up

Dunno what you guys talking about but for real.
I own Moto X4 and its like best phone.
It have maybe only 3000 mAh battery but i am a heavy gamer and the phone can last more than 6 hours when gaming. Its waterproof looks more premium than any other phone i saw in my life and does excellent photos.
To me motorola IS, WAS and WILL BE always the best company.
Because without motorola we will never have a cell phone.
Where other companies copy each other motorola is trully inovative and motomods are great when you try them.
Anyway compared to HTC and LG mobile division Motorola will stay here.

They have been doing junk decisions lately. Tsk, selling the Z2 Play as "flagship phone"... Updates slower than Samsung, weird pricing... It was better when their phones were just Nexus phones with Moto Actions.

They are reducing the Moto's Chicago-based team of engineers (who has a well-deserved reputation for technical excellence) to around 500, which is the same size as HMD's (Nokia) design team located in Espoo Finland.

This is no surprise. I really wanted to buy Moto flagship last year but only thing they had was the Z2, with small battery, plastic screen and mediocre camera. .

Motorola needs to improve their after sales service. Don't know about others but i'am the one ditching Motorola for poor camera, slow updates and useless audio output. Even more prices are at premium. Grow up!

They're a Finnish company who hired Foxconn to make phones. Do you know who else hired Foxconn to make phones, it's Apple. Foxconn is a highly reputable factory if we ignore death counts for the past few years. If Huawei and Xiaomi managed to be at Top 5 without America, so can HMD Nokia.

America is not the center of the world. Same goes for the Earth is flat. Get real...

People don't really need mods to spend extra money to improve their already expensive phones. LG did it and it was massive failure and look where LG is now, somewhere in a back with Lenovo/Motorola. If they want to sell need to follow trends and make their phones cheap
