Nokia at that time only make Windows Phones and if Google buy them they maybe will be plaged with insults and didnt make sense Google buy a rival OS brand.

Motorola at that time is struggling and Google see the oportunity to buy Moto because is a lot of patents involved since Moto is the first mobile company in the world and patents adds a lot of value.

Google only care about Moto because patents nothing more.

Google history with HTC now is different,they make the firsts Android phones so Google wants to help to survive. - In my opinion thats dont gonna happen because HTC will fail the target and go bankrupt.

HTC team need a brainwash like Lenovo team need too because if they dont do a great phone those days they will lose against competition.

Moto mods are way to expensive for what they offer and i dont see people give 700 plus 100, more 80, more 150 and so on for the mods, they go for the "full package" instead of buying the phone at parcels, only because the timeline of the phone is short, next year will be a new one and who knows if the Moto change their minds and abandon Moto Mods people will be piss off because they cant use them in a new device.

And Google love for Nokia is 0, Nokia didnt have much patents like Moto so, no intress.

              and I was waiting for the Moto Z3 to be announced in August 2018, silly old me.
              But I will still cherish my Moto Z (2016), one of my favorite devices. A truly devastating device.

                      I use moro z play with 2 mods and I like it. I hope the Z line and mods will continue 😣😣😣😣
