Oo by the way, HTC also is suing Samsung for trademark violation. So, what's the verdict guys?
http://www.electronista.com/articles/11/03/25/htc.sues.samsung.to.keep.inspire.4g.name/
So now lets add to the list:
Sony Ericsson sues Samsung in 2006 for patent infringement.
Nokia sues Samsung in 2009 for price fixing.
HTC sues Samsung for trademark infringement
Apple sues Samsung for patent infringement.
LOL!

So now from my previous comments:
Sony Ericsson sued Samsung for patent infringement
Nokia sued Samsung for price fixing
Apple sued Samsung for patent infringement
A normal person might conclude "Eh, this Samsung sure gets sued a lot, wonder what they're doing"
But of course, here, its "Booooo Apple, bully! Boooooo! Suing is for bullies, concentrate on making good products"
Then news comes HTC suing Apple, and suddenly its "Yeah! This is the way to go! Woot!"
The word hypocrite comes to mind. Oh, and the word stupid.

the link on gsma's home page says Apple's been "found guilty" already. Please amend this!
On topic: as much as I want there to be competition in the market, the whole idea of market-based competition relies on a level playing field. If a company uses existing tech or IP that it didn't spend the resources to develop or legally acquire, it unbalances the playing field in their favour (this is also called "cheating"). HTC wouldn't go to the expense of initiating proceedingd if there was a more cost-effective way to deal with the issue.

Apple's philosophy has always been that a hardware and software integrated approach provides the best end solution for customers. With the merger, this seems to be the path Google is taking as well. Ironic no?

It's all begins by Apple. The worse company ever.
However, I gave it a credits for a long term support they provided to customers(still better than many Android manufacturers), creative thinking.

And that was when all the new features were implemented. WiFi, 3G, High-res cameras, new displays. Now Apple comes and sues over look-and-feel. This is just LOL. Apple should stfu as it's just an amateur compared to other companies. But nooo, they want to fight. So I hope they loose it badly.

EVERY COMPANY has the right to protect their patents. And if Samsung infringes on those patents... they need to be held accountable for it.

Phone companies should take a page out of car manufacturers book. If Mercedes sued every manufacturer for copying their car in the first place we'd all be driving Mercedes =) In all seriousness though, if these companies have so much money for lawsuits, why can't they bring out updates on time? Surely it costs more to sue than to hire a small team to push out faster updates? More happy customers = More money. Am I wrong?
