19 August, 2011
With a 4.5" 720p SuperAMOLED screen, the Prime might turn out to be the rumored Samsung I9250.

Mickwa, 24 Aug 2011Nexus Prime or the new Galaxy S thats gonna be unpacked on ... moreand i expect 'something big' as it's mentioned in the teaser :D

and i just hope that it's gonna be more powerful than the upcoming iphone 5...

and i mean it has to be way more powerful than present devices because the GPU has to power a 720p screen!

that are a lot more pixels that'll have to be rendered, etc...

i think LG maybe the next nexus prime....cause just LG have a powerful device, they always make a suprise for us...

[deleted post]I completely agree with you. Nokia is dead. They made a BIG mistake to abandon Meego. Stephen Elop can say whatever he wants. WP can't beat Android.

[deleted post]HAHAHA gotta love that guy. A better race would be Nokia vs Blackberry. First one to go bankrupt or something?

If they still going to use Yamaha chip for audio, I don't want it. Samsung should really get back using Wolfson Audio Hubs or come up with something even better!

"HELLOOOOOOOO the NOKIA WIndows Phone 7 with MANGO is going to dominate all phones!!! It is a laptop in your pocket, android and iOS cant do that!!!! Nokia WP7 will have all microsoft apps and XBOX LIVE, are you joking iOS and Android are so BORING , ..."
Like all the failed windows mobile so far, Windows CE, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Kin, ect... Wishful thinking there. They need better hardware for WP7. Android have top hardware.

i really hope the nexus prime will come with an TI OMAP 4470, an Qualcomm 8960 krait or the nvidia tegra 3 (project kal-el) and a powerful battery that can handle this much power

why should Google come with an OMAP 4460 or another "mid-end" processor with an not up2date GPU, while the new iphone comes with one of the most powerful GPUs with even DirectX 9.0 support...

the GPU of the 4460 is far behind the apple A5's and can't handle DirectX...

i just wanted to say this, and no im not an apple-fanboy, actually i hate apple (and their fanboys), they sell overpriced old crappy stuff (except the GPU and maybee the screen, too)

but i want the nexus prime (which is going to be my next phone) to be more powerful then the crappy iphone 5...

AnonD-1082, 21 Aug 2011Do you have proof? Do you have statistics that the public i... more"a decent battery life that last a day or two is good enough for them."

A "day or two" is the you use it as a 2G-phone, let screen-brightness toogle between lowest/auto, installed "Task Killers" set to "Crazy", only toggle on WiFi, GPS and so on then strictly needed, use static wallpapers - preferebly black for amoleds. And so on. Use any modern touch-phone any other way and its batterylife really IS pathetic.

HELLOOOOOOOO the NOKIA WIndows Phone 7 with MANGO is going to dominate all phones!!! It is a laptop in your pocket, android and iOS cant do that!!!! Nokia WP7 will have all microsoft apps and XBOX LIVE, are you joking iOS and Android are so BORING , Xbox live on the WP7 is going to be a blast and blow away the competition. Also Nokia always puts the best hardware in their phones and even put some secret capabilities in there that they dont even tell the consumers. SO RUN AND TELL THAT!!!

LOL, why does virtually every Android thread turn into a slanging match between Nokia vs Android (and to a certain extent vs Apple)
                          I don't know!
                          WAKE UP PEOPLE!
I know some people love certain companies, but come on, this crazy tit-for-tat nonsense...?
                          Surely you're better than that...
Being blindly loyal to any company is never a good thing, it restricts your ability to be open-minded and of course restricts what you will ever experience in the future...
I get a new phone every year, I'm not tied to manufacturer, I'm not tied to a carrier, and to a certain extent, I'm not tied to an operating system (although I'd find it hard to move from Android now...) but this means - THE WORLD IS MY OYSTER!!
I can look at SonyE and think "hmmm, not got good enough specs" or I can look at LG and think "hmmm, not got the screen" or HTC, or whatever...
I can choose what I want - and surely that's the best possible thing?
Forget "oh I'll never buy anything buy Nokia" or "Apple rules" or whatever...
Go for what suits YOU, don't let blind loyalty get in the way...
                          So endeth my sermon!
                          :)

Inks, 22 Aug 2011ROFL.. He sounds a Nokia fanboy who probably has some ancient device with a 400 Mhz processor that crawls and tries to tell us that Symbian is so great it doesn't need anything better.

adi, 20 Aug 2011yea and battery life 6 hours. lol all this hype about what... more6 hours for heavy tasking is more than sufficient. Its a phone dude, don't expect users to spend the entire day playing with their phone? Try turning on the Nokia N97 for more than 6 hours. The screen would zap most of the battery power, not android or iOS or symbian or WP7.

20 apps for a smart phone is a tat too little anyway. I may not use apps on a daily basis, but i got more than 70 apps on my phone.

That 4.5" screen size sounds nice.

The resolution sounds great too, but having a 4.5" screen would really help when using an onscreen keyboard.
